PAINdrawing update 2
no PAINting. Which I was hoping for.
I could've really used some gold paint but I found old colored pencils that happened to have gold and silver. So it's suitable to be gifted but the next time I go to Jerrys Artarama, I'll grab those colors.
And I'm impressed with my mountains. Specifically one section of my mountains. My clouds got angular but whatever. What the fuck ever.
I think I am going to have to paint the back ground white because I drag my hand and write on the sides and stuff.
But I think it looks really good. Even if I shouldn't have tried to give her eyes some green. Oops. No take backs.
Oh well.
PAINdrawing update.
halo will still be gold
circle behind figure currently had zodiac star signs.
large oval behind all of that is filled with mountains and trees and shading is fucking hard.
30% sure that I'll probably leave the full background white with texture
70% sure I'll attempt to decorate it with flowers.
fuck.
god damn it.
I still like it, though.
aww yeaahh.
PAIIIINNNNNdrawing still.
Okay, here's a break down of feelings. It's supposed to be a present for my mom.
I like gold
I like halos
I like religious art to look at the common motifs and patterns.
I like flowers
I also like dog teeth
So I've already got a slim halo that I'm going to paint with gold(YAY) but the hard part is deciding between whether or not to put the dogs and their shiny teeth in the MAIN circle behind the figures head or in the large oval 'frame'. OR what am I gonna do for the rest of what I'm workin' with?
I pulled up some landscapes but I don't have a lot of practice with them at all (Pfft. like I've got practice with dogs) wait. okay. I got it.
Little halo=gold. circle behind figure=dogs and teeth (it'll be really busy so the subject matter isn't supposed to be noticed until further inspection). Oval=attempted landscape with a few flowers. Large background might be painted white with some form of texture beneath (aww yeaaah art class. you comin' in handy, motherfucker) or something.
Y'dig?
This is the easy part. I'm really bad at colors so I try to keep it small and calm. Eek!!
