I just decide to make a very long explanation post about this OC actually lol (it's linked in my intro post now)
I was gonna do it eventually anyways he's like my main guy
But anyways now that's done, If your willing to read it through, I can confidently say that if he was rescued by a stranger after getting out of his cell, this would absolutely be him.
In short needing life energy to survive and all that, otherwise he gets to weak.
The ability was given to him by a lab, and having to go through with orders to drain people by that lab. Very painful stuff for both him and the victim.
