Artist Research: Em Cooper

Em Cooper is an oil paint animator. She recently directed a music video to 'I'm Only Sleeping' by The Beatles. It is made up of around 1,300 individual oil paintings. She paints each frame and takes a shot each time to create the video. She uses the paint to communicate subjective experience with big brush strokes and bold colour. All the images are fleeting, and everything melts into itself, it creates a feeling of being swayed while you're watching it.

I would really love to do something like this for Movement. It ties in with painting nicely too.
