Process of the Ink Hair

A bit of a horror story with this painting:

At the time I began the painting I didn't have the motivation or confidence to finish the piece, so I left it with the masking fluid on for over month. Terrible decision because the paper sort of... absorbed it? I could not scrub it off and the eraser just made it worse. I had to remove it with ethyl alcohol which was the only solvent I could think of that I had at hand, damaging the paper 😅

At the end the damage wasn't so bad and I liked the end result so much I put the painting on the pin board beside my desk.

I feel there should be some kind of lesson here about life. I'll tell you when I figure out what.
