Played a game we borrowed from the library last night! It was super fun! It’s called Mind The Gap and features trivia that spans four generations. Boomer, Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z.

ALVIN 2.0: I was the Gen X trivia master!

BRITTANY: But I won the game! I even knew some of the 1980s centered questions.

ALVIN 2.0: Well, if it were a music trivia only game, I would TOTALLY win.

SIMON: Which is why we’re glad it isn’t.

THEODORE: I love family game nights! 🤩

ELEANOR: Still cackling at how long it took Jeanette to even get on the dang board.

JEANETTE: I finally answered a question right and then shook a one. I was so excited to finally be moving along. I didn’t even care that Brittany and Eleanor laughed at me.

THEODORE: Some of the trivia was really tough.

SIMON: Indeed.

BRITTANY: So, anyway, since I won the game, do I get a prize?

ALVIN 2.0: Your prize is the satisfaction of beating Simon, Jeanette, and me at trivia.

BRITTANY: What kind of prize is that!? I want those pink satin PJs from Walmart!

ELEANOR: IS THAT ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT?

BRITTANY: Maybe.

ALVIN 2.0: Good things come to those who wait.

BRITTANY: Okay, Boomer. 🙄

ALVIN 2.0: I’m not a Boomer!

JEANETTE: Technically, the first iteration of Alvin Seville and Simon and Theodore too was released in 1958. If we consider that your birth, then yes…you would be a Boomer.

ALVIN 2.0: …..Well, now I feel older than the hills.

JEANETTE: Sorry.

ALVIN 2.0: It’s fine. Just gotta wrap my head around it.

ELEANOR: Guess that makes us, created in 1983,…uhhh Gen X?

SIMON: No. You’d technically be Millennials.

BRITTANY: Oooh. I kinda like that.

THEODORE: If we went by the 2015 Alvinnn cartoon, we’d all be Gen Alpha. Right?

ALVIN 2.0: Being a cartoon character is complicated. We’ll leave it at that.

JEANETTE: Agreed!

He's been painted how I wanted to

I actually finished this guy the other day. He was originally the survivor of an attempt, about oooh 15 years ago, to build a Solland army (hence the sun on his shield). Then he got painted as a Marienburger for Mordheim.

Now he's an Empire Captain to go in my big unit of Wissenburg Black Spears, and help lead them to victory!

I finally finished my Iron Warriors Possessed. Well, the ones I'd built anyway. I need another four to finish the squad of nine. I finished off the last one in my local Warhammer store, which was the first time in a couple of years that I'd painted in store. And the first time ever my son painted his own stuff in store too!

I keep forgetting to post photos of the things I've painted here. This is a squad of 3rd Edition vintage Dark Reapers for my Iyanden army - I need to source an Exarch model to lead them really.
