I had the awesome opportunity to do an art trade with @painted-bees! Loved drawing Raf and Margie (and a snuck in Tess) from Hi-Note💖!
Been such a big fan of their work, and so this was truly a delight 😊
So I did an art trade with the illustrious, magnificent queen of the hive that is @painted-bees and was given this handsome, but taken, stud Raf to draw from her Hi-Note characters (I may have also read a bunch of very *cough* vivid posts for…..research, yes, research). Soon as I figured out he could play a violin though I was SMITTEN! Seriously, check out her Hi-Note, Wolves of Danu and Woven stuff if you haven’t! (Though I mean, who hasn’t heard of Bee by now!)
Also she gave me a absolutely bangin picture of my OCs (Project Kaimera) that I will be posting later if she hasn’t already heheheh!

Nyx Quickening Shadesworn III, my beloved silver dragon wyrmling, who lives most days disguised as a Gnomish Bard. Designing her was a whole Thing™ (forever grateful to @painted-bees for helping me) I'm still not happy with the colors I managed here but I can't fight with her design anymore.

@PAINTED-BEES: highly skilled hobbyists in ‘professional’ communities is SUPER IMPORTANT imo
I think I mentioned it before, but seeing your relationship with your art really helped me form a healthier relationship with my art as well. I unno, not only is your art a total treat to behold, but your comfort in not trying to assert/prove yourself as a 'professional’…provided a refreshingly validating perspective to me haha You and your work belongs well in any art community you put it!
Firstly, that is the most wonderful thing someone’s ever told me. I am deeply touched. Truly, there is no greater compliment than knowing someone finds my own path validating!
Also, I totally agree. Amateurs are super important to the development of a great many fields. But I still don’t vibe with ArtStation and find it creepy how utterly dead the comment section is. Hello! Comments are the best part about sharing art online.
That’s why I like Tumblr so much. Yes, I read every single comment and tag you guys leave on your re-blogs. You’re all delightful! Keep ‘em coming!
