{~♌  He would be called a poor winner, and has been many a time by Raph but he honestly couldn’t help the boost of pride he got whenever he was proved to be right. However, he does rarely ever hold it over Mikey’s head because he rarely ever doubted him. 

Once in awhile he did, and so it came to the simple fact that, he was right. Throwing his arm over his younger brothers shoulder, Leo looks at down at him.

Mikey had been something of a rare case since day one. Despite the initial unease between she and the rest of the turtles after she’d started trying to get to know her dad better, he’d continued to look to her, ask after her, and try to get to know her. She wasn’t sure the boy had a distrustful bone in his body.

And hearing he was having a bad day surprised her... and even upset her a little bit. She reached out with one hand, tentatively, and placed it on top of his head, giving it a gentle little rub.

“Need me to punch someone for you?” But with the gentle jibe aside, she moved on to something more important... trying to actually help. “What’s up, Mike?”

Honestly, Splinter had been soundly asleep in his armchair when his orange-clad son had come bounding in, and he snorted loudly as he started awake, scrambling to sit upright. Mikey always had a tendency to do that, and honestly, he wasn’t really sure how.

Well. At least there was something good coming out of it.

One that was supposedly super haunted, but that was beside the point. Besides, he’d told her he wanted a chance to prove himself... so what better chance to prove himself than here, out in a spooky old train station that had apparently been the site of some grisly murder a decade or two back?

Of course, this kind of thing was right up her alley. Getting scared for fun was one of her favorite past times, even if she couldn’t always get the boys to accompany her on her excursions.

Leo did, sometimes, but her haunted attraction tastes tended towards the gruesome, and her poor dear little brother didn’t always have the stomach for it.

“I mean, think of all the history! This place is way old. You can rub it in D’s face.”

“Thanks, bro! I just kind of wing it, slap whatever looks good together down,” He said, stepping back from the wall where he’d painted to admire his handiwork. He hummed a bit in thought, tapping his chin. “Something’s missing though…”

Raph got quiet, mostly because he wanted Mikey to get some peace to think. He didn’t need to make a lot of noise while the masterbrain was working on a brilliant new piece. He could only hope it would hang in his room! or perhaps in the kitchen for everyone to see. 

Only after Mikey had some decent time to think about the color, he decided to speak again.

“So it’s from your intuition. Right from the heart n’ soul. You really got a talent lil bro.” Raph mused proudly. “Sure is inspiring to see.”
