Gator designs for a comic I'm working on!
Out beyond the water's edge Far out past the coral ledge Underneath the diamond dancing lights Chase the world from far below Silence sleeping indigo Drifting out into the endless night

so I finally got my hands on painter x and I did a thing....I guess it's just some concept stuff XD I don't know if I like the wings, but I've been staring at it too long, I might redo them later, if not it was a fun exercise! I really like how the colors blend and stuff.
"I cannot resist...your call"

A small random stupidity
I am working on illustration jobs. But when I am done with them, I'll work further on the comic. Here is a small painter stupdity, I like to do as a warm up drawing. The Phantom of the Opera mug is glued. :D Thank you very much for your comments and support!!
While perusing Tumblr last month I came across the above photo by Toni Panjaitan. I was immediately struck by the powerful image he created by simply tilting the frame. I wanted to paint that water, those claws, and the fur as well as attempt to evoke that feeling of power and mystery I feel in his work. I asked him for permission to use his photo, which he kindly granted.
I changed the tiger for various reasons. This is very much a work in progress during my rare spare time. I need to make more personal art time! It feels so good to paint this; it released a lot of...something. I don't know how to explain it.
So we have the photo, the clean sketch, the rough sketch colour test, and then progress shots.
