Don't you think that Jacquelyn Seieszka is actually Jacques, not Kit? I want her to be Kit, but that 'easter egg' with a harpoon gun suits more for Jacques not Kit, what do you think?
Hey, love, let’s think about it.
I’m still pretty sure, she’s Kit in disguise. Maybe I’m wrong or delusional or simply in love with Snicket Sister too much, but I think Kit deserves to be one of the main characters on the show. From the Baudelaires perspective she was: deus ex machina, pregnant, dead. And of course, I want her to me more than that.
About the harpoon gun: isn’t it more significant to Kit?
We all know ‘The Vile Village’ doesn’t appear to state a cause of Jacques’ death, though we can presume that he was indeed not bitten to death - though this idea does conceivably suggest a return to the method of Uncle Monty’s murder, the use of a poisonous injection to simulate teeth marks. We could also suggest that the poison was actually in the bread and water served to Jacques, and so he was indeed killed while the prison was locked up tight with nobody in it.
A harpoon might have been noticeable to the Council of Elders members who covered Jacques in a sheet (and the rest of the villagers who saw the body before it was covered). So, it wasn’t a harpoon gun wound for sure.
And that brings us back to my previous question: isn’t a harpoon more significant to Kit?
Who died from this weapon in the books? Right, Dewey Denouement, Kit’s speculated husband/fiance/beloved. Or the father of her child. Or one way or another, one of the closest people in her life. Whatever you think of him, Dewey tied to Kit.BTW how did he die? whispering ‘Kit’ before falling into the pond concealing the real hotel. FALLING INTO THE POND. Who else fell into the pond on the show? Gustav, while talking to ‘Jacquelyn’. If it’s not foreshadowing, idk what is.
One last thing about the harpoon gun: what was the reason of Count Olaf’s death? It wasn’t the Medusoid Mycelium, he was dying from the HARPOON wound. He was ready to die from the fungus, too depressed and tired to eat the healing apple, however when Kit needed his help he did everything to save her, forgetting his wound and the world. And then he died.
So, both of Kit’s love interests [and the only we are aware of] die from the harpoon gun.
ISN’T IT LIKE SUPER WEIRD TO BRING A HARPOON GUN IN A SCENE WITH MYSTERIOUS ‘JACQUELYN’, WHEN THE ONLY CHARACTER WHO HAS ANY SIGNIFICANT CONNECTION TO SUCH A RARE KIND OF WEAPON IS KIT SNICKET???
