Her approach was quiet, as always, proceeding with perhaps a little more caution than what was truly necessary. But, she was an artist herself, and knew all too well that one jump or jog could cause a slip-up of mighty proportions when the brush touched the canvas.
So, she was careful when she chose to make her presence known to his line of vision and, had he not already picked up on her footsteps, his range of hearing. It was not until the brush shifted away from his work that she spoke, soft as ever, curiosity lacing her words of greeting.
