Pakin and Graph...

Pakin really wants Graph to have a life of his own, a life beyond Pakin. That is WHY he has Payu and Prapai bring Rain and Sky to the manor in the special novel.

I like to think that, encouraging these friendships and building a network around Graph, Pakin suggests he and his friends go on a trip.

He is forced to swear no bodyguards, but eventually allows Win to go with them (after threatening castration if he sleeps with Graph).

Payu and Prapai are chill, of course. Their boys have the occasional friend trip, this is nothing new.

Pakin, however, is foaming at the mouth paranoid, trying to pretend he isnt, on edge and anxious the entire time. Just about clawing at the walls, no matter how calm he tries to act around Payu and Prapai.

Graph, meanwhile, having the absolute time of his life with Rain and Sky at, like, Disneyland.

Bit of a cute/sad thing: Pakin hates Graph's habit of repeating things back if Pakin promises him something. For example, if Pakin says "We'll have dinner together", Graph will loudly yell "You'll have dinner with me?!". Pakin realizes very quickly that Graph is incredibly insecure, and is doing this because he doesn't believe he heard right if something good is being said to him.

It makes Pakin feel bad, because he's a big part of why Graph is so insecure, but also because it's a scar from Graph's childhood. Growing up alone and abandoned, with a sea of broken promises behind him.

It makes Pakin want to break his own rules and take risks just to spoil the boy.

It's a bit of a tricky spot, because depending on what country you live in, it's either illegal or sketchy-but-legally-allowed...

And then you throw Age of Consent in and the waters get murkier bc honestly I don't know what that even really is in the US compared to Legal Age.

But in Thailand I think it is way more sketchy because there the age is what, 19?

But yeah, Pakin often calls Graph a child, aloud and in his own POV.

How does Pakin change towards Graph after Graph almost dies? Is he stricter?

He actually eases up.

He isn't as hard on Graph, is more willing to explain himself rather than dictate, and if Graph fights back, Pakin will apologize and try to discuss things with him and reach a common ground.

He also won't leave Graph alone if the boy is ill. In Try Me, if it is a race night, he is fine about going if Graph is ill. But in Love in the Air (the show as well as the novel), he is meant to attend an important race but sends Chai in his place so he can take care of Graph.

Hard to say if that is a situational thing or a response to the fact that he left Graph at that race Graph nearly died in.
