i’m just gonna... be over here crying forever over how heartbroken Sigma is at realizing yeah, Phi is dead. God these kids deserve to just be happy and not in danger of dying on each other???

And of course he’s willing to just use the machine, take the gamble because he needs Phi to be alive :(

Okay so there was a post circulating about why Equius would have given Tavros a "pelvic magnetron" and I decided to look up what a magnetron even fucking is

and it turns out that a magnetron isn't technically a magnet.

According to this definition, a magnetron is used in radar equipment. Radar is used for the location of things and mapping out terrain. Tavros' legs were robotic at that point, and no doubt had some sort of stabilizing function... perhaps the pelvic magnetron auto-adjusted the legs to ensure maximum stability with respect to the surface the legs were on, but the magnetron that Equius installed wasn't functioning properly? That would explain why Tavros fell so much (the auto-stabilizer got false readings from the magnetron/radar) and why Equius needed to deactivate it.
