This Paleo Bone Broth is a nutrient-rich and flavorful base for many Paleo recipes. It's made from slow-simmered beef bones and vegetables, packed with collagen, amino acids, and minerals, making it a perfect addition to your Paleo diet.
Ingredients: 4-5 pounds of beef bones marrow and knuckle bones work best. 2 carrots, chopped. 2 celery stalks, chopped. 1 onion, peeled and quartered. 4 cloves of garlic, smashed. 2 bay leaves. 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Filtered water enough to cover the bones.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 400F 200C. Place the beef bones on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 30 minutes. This step enhances the flavor of the broth. In a large stockpot or slow cooker, combine the roasted bones, chopped carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaves, and apple cider vinegar. Cover the ingredients with enough filtered water to submerge them completely. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for at least 12-24 hours for the best results. Skim off any foam or impurities that rise to the surface during simmering. After simmering, strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean container. Discard the solids. Allow the broth to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it. Once cooled, you can remove any solidified fat that forms on the surface. Your Paleo Bone Broth is now ready to use in various recipes or as a nourishing drink!
