As a statement alone, that probably would have at least somewhat unnerved Jon a few years prior. He didn't think that Jarod was joking, or saying it ironically, though he still almost blurts out the exact likelihoods for both of them simply because it was something he could Know. He was speaking largely to the Eye, but hoping to mask it in a way that made it seem like he was engaging with Jarod instead. "Terrible habit, as I'm sure we've both been told multiple times. Doesn't stop us. What does it matter if any of the others follow suit? Something will kill us all eventually." If people were lucky, it would be something mundane like organ failure, and not a manifestation of fear.

Jarod's observation was... Extremely funny to Ava, given the circumstances. It wasn't as if he had not seen her in a worse state than she was now, albeit at the current moment, the emotions were positive ones. So, perhaps he just wasn't aware that she could get as blinding as she likely is when she is happy as well, not just when she is under extreme duress.

"I have been told I am obnoxiously bright and annoying like it." She says with a small giggle, flashing a mischievous little smile over his way. "Let me know if 's too much, though, I can always make it a little less bright."

What does Nova's bedroom typically look like?

➤ Technically, Nova's room would also be Ana's room since they've always shared a room since they were kids. Even as a an adults and came to the island of Tír Fradí, they still share a room. It's always been their thing for years. If they need some kind of privacy, which only is like for one night or two, they do go into their separate rooms.

Regardless, the room is actually very organized when it comes to their stuff. One half of their room is whatever Nova's wants posted and the other half is what Ana has. While it may surprise people upon seeing how wild it can be, it is still organized.

Nova usually has paintings she either brought from the market or had someone else do it themselves. There's a wardrobe full of her clothes, though one half of it is hers and the other half is her sister's. That's basically it. There's nothing too special about her side of the room, given she prefers to keep her interest and hobbies hidden away or closed off compare to her sister. The only other thing to note is the stuff animals, even then, it could easily be mistaken as her sister's stuff animals. Otherwise, her side of the room is simple and boring.

"Because you're gonna need one when I leave, fuckface!" There is no real weight behind her words, only tinged with a little bit of melancholy. One of these days, Ava is going to have to leave and Jarod will likely go back to exactly how he was prior to them meeting if he does not work on it and continue to do so. It occurs to Ava that he is most likely not being entirely serious, but she does hope that he will actually work on things when she leaves.

The corners of Ava's lips start to twitch up into a smile, the mere fact that Jarod is confirming her own suspicions being incredibly funny to her. She had thought he might like it, being right up his alley and all of that jazz. "Good," Ava says, unable to keep the laughter out of her voice. "Means the element of surprise will still be in my pocket. 'S easier to assume people will expect something anyways, or safer, really... But I trust that if you don't think they will, I actually will be able to do it."

She has done very little with him in the ways of interacting with most of the other residents, if only because she doesn't care to. "Are they really that stupid? I mean, I know you don't like 'em, but if they'll fold to any kid that makes sad eyes at them... Well..."
