oooh yeah also! i think the art style of psg contributes towards it not being very male-gazey; since it's deliberately drawn in a western-cartoony fashion it makes things less "hot" and more "funny"

yeah exactly like how do you really casually sexualize box people lmfao crowd points to homestuck and i casually ignore them

and i don’t know even when there are style shifts i feel like it really does (usually) still amount to the characters being in control of their bodies and how people view themthey wear sexy clothes and do sexy things for the express purpose of getting people to look at them like that/because they want to/to get what they want/any other reason

tbh i feel like klk and psg aren’t comparable in that regard because it’s just presented so differently and so deliberately
