Journey || Open

The wind rushed past his face and blew his spiky hair in every direction as the land raced backwards down below. The air was thin, though he had long gotten used to it, and the steady wing beats he could feel through his legs and hands were lulling him to sleep. It's peaceful up here, he thought to himself, no one pestering me with questions and nothing else to bother me. It's nice to feel like this; why can't it happen more often? But just as those thoughts were becoming muddled with the rest of his mind, he was jolted awake by the feeling of spiraling downwards. 

Green's eyes snapped open and he swung his head around, trying to figure out what was happening; it was unlike his Charizard to loose control. He soon realized, though, that his pokemon hadn't actually lost control; it was just landing as was normal, and he had perceived it completely differently. He made a mental note to stay awake while flying for long distances.  

With a soft thump, the large pokemon put both feet on the ground and leaned forwards so its trainer could get off safely. Green did just that, also landing on both feet, and looked around; Charizard had put them on a hill over looking a town - or maybe it was a small city. Everything looked quiet under the fast darkening sky. 

It was almost nighttime and the trainer knew he'd have to find a place to stay unless he wanted to sleep outside. He didn't have a problem with camping - he had done it practically all the time on his journey - but that didn't mean he wanted to, especially when there was a chance to sleep in the warmth of a house, even if it was just on someone's couch. 

Moving one foot in front of the other, Green made his way down the hill and into the town. Most of the people living there had gone inside already, as evidenced by the emptiness of the inner streets, but he managed to find someone who was hanging about.

"Excuse me," he spoke up as he approached the other person, "do you know of some place I could stay? I've just arrived and don't feel like sleeping outside."

Aimlessly wandering around the youthful blue haired girl wandered along the dirt path, hoping that she would sooner or later find someone to ask for directions. Dawn wasn't one to get easily lost but this particular day she had been caught of guard whilst gathering food and was now lost. To be frank it wasn't really her fault to begin with considering she was in unfamiliar territory and her map was quite damaged from a recent storm. Regardless, Dawn continued her trek along the path, taking in the scenery as she walked, her Piplup by her side. Dawn was a somewhat optimistic girl and she thought if she was going to be stuck out here for a while she might as well enjoy it and anyway, she was bound to find a town or someone soon, right?

  Yes, was the answer to her question as she spotted a person up ahead, a pokemon near them, but there was something about the way they interacted, it didn't seem right. Maybe it was a wild pokemon or maybe the trainer was experiencing some difficulties. Whatever it was it wasn't going to stop Dawn from talking to the person and hopefully getting some directions. Dawn picked up her pace slightly as she neared closer to the person and pokemon, calling out as she went.

  "Hello there, my Name is Dawn. Er, I seem to be lost and I was wondering if I may have directions to the nearest town or something of the sort."

  Realizing she may have rushed into the middle of something she tilted her head slightly in an apologetic manor.

  "I'm sorry to have intruded like that. I could not help but notice something between you an this pokemon, is everything ok? May I assist you in any way?"

Oh, how Archer despised his trips out into the open.

Having been in hiding for much of his time, it was safe to say that the man wasn't quite used to venturing into the outdoors. It made him feel so exposed, even with his attempts to disguise his identity. With a large coat hiding much of his easily identifiable features - his uniform in particular - he strolled along the quietest Route he could find, seeking to avoid general contact with... Well, anyone really.

Yet, in spite of his abhorrence of being seen in public, and his loathing for dealing with the common folk, he knew that staying indoors would not do him much good. He quickly grew tired of the same four walls, his muscles aching from lack of use. His pokémon, too, became rather restless when trapped indoors. Without some form of outlet to let go of their building stress, they would all surely snap.

So, it was with great reluctance that Team Rocket's executive forced himself to take this bi-weekly trips for the sake of himself and his dearest companions. Usually, he went about his business without being bothered, and that was how he liked it.

However, on this occasion, he wasn't so lucky. Blue eyes flickered to the Houndoom by his side, noting how his companion had stiffened noticeably, it's sights firmly trained upon something... Or someone, as Archer came to realise.

"...Yes?"

He asked, voice smooth, a hand shifting to make certain that his clothing was sufficiently hidden. Blowing his cover here was something that he just couldn't afford.

Not yet, at least.

Visiting the Seer :: Open!

Morty dislikes very few things on this earth; one of them just so happens to be severe weather. Moreover for your information it happens to be storming quite badly in little Ecruteak city. The blonde has always been very wary about weather, snow,drought,flood you name it he dislikes it. Not out of actual hatred of nature but simply out of a slight primal fear. So naturally as soon as the weatherman predicted hurricane force winds and rain, Morty prepared for Armageddon.

He had stayed cooped up in his little home since morning, having lost power nearly two hours prior to where he is now, curled up on his couch reading from a large tome. Lampent floats beside him illuminating the small area with its inner light. Morty leans forward squinting to see the small handwritten accounts. He was studying the myth of the legendary dogs again, one of his personal favorites.  There were handwritten notes in the margins of the book suggesting that he had read it many times prior yet he was still captivated by the tale.

Due to his interest in the material he hadn’t heard the frantic wrapping at his door until Gengar pranced back and forth waving his arms to get his trainer’s attention. Morty looked up. “Atlas I know the weather is bad but you’ve got to relax.” The Gengar gave Morty an exasperated look and gestured to the door still continuing in its prancing motion. Morty raised a brow and stood finally hearing the knocking. In no hurry to subject himself to the horrors of the disaster zone outside he shuffled over to his door, tucking the book under his arm.

Morty often received visits from strangers in need. As the gym leader of such a small place he often took in trainers in need for the night who had been directed to Morty from the nurse at the Pokecenter he knew it was only a matter of time before someone showed up with the weather the way it was, the Pokecenter could only hold so many.. and it was his duty to help. He brushed his long blonde hair out of his eyes, the signature bandanna not in place for once as he looked out the peephole of his door. He was unable to see due to the dark and grimaced. Slowly he undid the deadbolt and opened the door, violet eyes traveling vacantly to the soaked visitor. “What do you want.”

The musky scent of incense wafts out the door as the tall man peers down at the soaked individual before him, Gengar bounces floating at the level of Morty’s shoulder clearly more interested in the visitor than his trainer was. In the darkness of the room Atlas appears only as a set of ruby red optics floating ominously beside the blonde.

Well, no one ever called him the most welcoming man in the world.

Enter, Riley! Arrival at Canalave! [Open RP]

All in all- he was exhausted. His weary expression broke into one of relief as a small dot that was Canalave city broke into view. Leaning over the side of the vastly regarded speedy (Riley believe otherwise) ferry, he cupped his chin in his hand and patiently waited for the town to grow larger into view. It had been a while since he had returned to the port town, and after a day full of staining his dark clothes with the dust of Iron Island he felt his break was certainly overdue. With the distant musings of wingull mindlessly chattering overhead it wasn't long before anchor had met shore, and Riley would set foot on the solid region of Sinnoh grounds for the first time in a good week or two. Sending the ferry driver a final polite smile and tilt of a hat, stepped on to the docks, which greeted him with creaking noises under his feet. Allowing himself another small smile he made his way into the bustling city, musings of a possible early lunch already half in mind. Yes.. that cafe always had a pleasant atmosphere.. perhaps--

Suddenly he felt a rough nudge into his shoulder, and the male turned to eye the other who had seemed to pause too. "Ah, pardon me." Riley apologized with a inclined tilt of his head and a calm smile. "It's been a long day.."

The perfect storm ll Open

Green doesn’t hate Christmas. In fact under the right circumstances he enjoys the holiday. What he can’t stand however?: that incessant Christmas spirit that everyone seems enthralled with leading up to the holiday. The man trudged through the streets of Castelia patience wavering. Not only was he lost in the labyrinth of a city but it was snowing heavily turning the streets into a dangerous icy mix.

Rapidashing through the snow, With a Horsea on our sleigh, Slowpoke and Slowbro, Laughing all the way.

A groan escapes his lips, He had passed these carolers numerous times already, at first he had attempted to ask them for directions but they continued to sing over him. Since then he had developed a bit of a personal vendetta against the jolly folk shooting them dirty looks every time they passed each-other. Clara curled against his neck hidden in the hood which covered the former-champ of Kanto’s spiky brown hair. Green turned his attention to the small Eevee concerned; he needed to either find his way to a Poke center or at least a place willing to take him in until the snow subsided. The cold was bothering him but at least he could tolerate that, what he couldn’t stand was seeing the small normal-type uncomfortable.

Bellsprout starts to sing, So does Magnemite, Then Seaking will start to ring The jingle bells tonight! Oh!

With his mouth set into a firm line he began to trudge forward again, this snow was incredibly thick which made walking increasingly difficult.- Not that it seemed to bother the carolers, the only individuals Green had seen in quite some time. It appeared that most residents were well aware of the storm and had prepared accordingly seeing as most businesses were closed. A dim light flickered up ahead and Green lurched forward hopefully as the singing of the carolers becoming distant once more.

Poké Balls, Poké Balls, Throw them all the way You may catch the Pokémon You want on Christmas day, Hey!

As he approached the dim light he found himself at a large map of the city, with a exasperated groan he leaned his head against the hulking board. – He had went in a giant circle for the past thirty minutes. Trying to think of a solution to his problem he stayed in this position muttering swears under his breath aggravated at himself and the city. “I should have never came to visit Unova, the Pokemon World Tournament is not worth this.” He closes his eyes hands fumbling in his pockets desperate for a cigarette or at least something to get his mind off of the situation.
