What highly helped was that he wasn’t here for himself. He was here for a friend. No one was going to touch him here, not without his consent. He was fairly certain that that was against the law... in some countries, anyway.
He hadn’t been in touch with Kaiser since their last conversation over the phone. Maybe a week had passed; he hadn’t really been keeping track of the days as he’d turned his phone off and gone completely off the radar for that short amount of time.
Ryo didn’t even know he was coming. This was him playing his move in this cardless duel of theirs.
He didn’t dare glance at any of the rooms he passed by as he was lead to where Ryo was staying. This was all overwhelming enough as it was, considering last time he was in a hospital--well, that was not a trail of thought he wanted to veer off into at the moment. He focused on something else instead--like the cat he held in a death grip in his arms. Pharaoh looked like he wanted to bolt almost more than he did, though probably for a different reason. It was surprising they even allowed him to bring Pharaoh when he requested it. The cat was really helping him keep his nerves and anxiety down until they finally reached their destination.
Thankfully it was not like the other hospital rooms, but he still felt uneasy being there. He hadn’t even warned Ryo of his visit. Maybe now was a bad time? He could easily just turn back around and--
Too late; the nurse opened the door and outed his presence to the room’s occupant.
He entered almost timidly and raised one hand up in the air as a greeting--except as soon as he did so, Pharaoh managed to escape his grip and dashed inside the room in full on manic-mode, running until he finally settled on the window sill. He shot Juudai an unpleasant sneer--or at least that’s what Juudai imagined it would have looked like on a human face. He turned his attention back to the occupant.
“Yo,” he tried the most casually greeting ever, as though he hadn’t practically had an anxiety attack over the phone with this guy the last time they talked.
palpitare replied to your post: 'I wan't expecting you to visit."
“Are you saying that because you’re curious about his opinion of you? Or mine?”
【ϟ】 “—Huh? Neither, I guess. But you do still talk to him, don’t you? I figured since you were actually surprised about me showing up that he had to have said something about me already.”

Annie hated days like this. Days where everything that had happened, and continued to happen, overwhelmed her. She wished she could just bottle up the emotions and throw them in the ocean, but no.
No, she could only bottle them up inside herself, forget about them for a time, until the rose up and devastated her.
There hadn’t even been a trigger this time, nothing that had set of the deluge, they had simply attacked out of nowhere. So, she did what she usually did when it became to much and searched out somewhere to compose herself secretly.
Which was how she found herself not too far from the Blue dorm, huddled in the shadow of a tree. They wouldn’t care about the emotional chaos some dumb Osiris Red was suffering from. They would ignore the muffled sobs, if they stumbled upon it. They always had before.

Juudai wanted to hang up the phone--oh, how he did. The hand that held the device trembled and he had to use both hands just to keep it in place. Every hint of Ryo wanting his company felt like a slow build up of pressure on him and he felt like he was going to burst--
--Until he did.
Out of sheer respect for Kaiser, he remained on the line, but he couldn’t make himself go there. It was full of ghosts, after all. His own metaphorical ghosts from the past included.
“I can’t--step foot in there. Don’t make me.”
It was embarrassing to have lost his grip on himself in front of Kaiser, even over the phone.

As usual, he kept up his hopes high and wanted to visit a friend - his best pal whom he tried to save. Two years ago, after Darkness he returned to save him from hell, from his dark place; but even then, lost.
He still forgave him, Ryo wasn’t in the right and all he cared about was power. So relieved he was fine now, “knock, knock!” Chuckling, dressed casually while bringing a balloon, gift basket and some flowers. “Hey, Ryo. How’re you doing? Well, I presume?” He only wanted to be positive and keep him company. “Thought I’d drop by, had anyone else saw you yet?” Ah- he couldn’t wait to tell him some good news.
Placing aside the gifts on the table, he took a seat but of course, his excitement couldn’t be hidden if he was twidling with his thumbs.
