Pit hadn’t even noticed the chirping at first, since there were always birds around. It wasn’t until it started coming closer that he looked around curiously. Just when he turned, he was met with a rather excited harpy girl crashing into him and knocking him over.
Blinking, surprised. It only lasted a moment though, and his surprised expression was replaced with a grin.
"Hey, Serena!"
"Pit! It feels like it's been forever since I last saw you!"
In all honesty, Serena had assumed that something bad had happened to him. Sure, it was a silly, paranoid notion of hers, but she couldn't help it. In the back of her mind, she realized that he was probably just busy; regardless, it was wonderful to see him again.
Though it would be more beneficial to allow them both to stand up, Serena only allowed herself to nuzzle close to him, letting out faint chirps as she peppered his face with tiny kisses, her wings flapping every so often, wanting to lift her off of the ground.
"I was worried about you! I thought something awful happened..."
