Progress on getting things running has been slow primarily due to the fact that the bike is parked in my dad's garage on the other side of town. I've found a place with my own garage to move into, so all of this will change within the next few weeks.
This weekend I took out the old points system, put in the PAMCO electronic ignition, & rewired everything from the new ignition to new high output coils.
All the wires will be trimmed & cleaned up, but I want to be sure I've done all the wiring correctly before I do any cutting. The test for correctness will be whether or not it starts. I'm going to change the oil tomorrow night, & then I'll try getting it started. I'll be using Techron Havoline SAE 10W-40 for oil given that many CB owners on forums claim it's good shit.
I bought some White Diamond polish today. This stuff works great for shining up the chrome. Autozone also had some Seafoam motor treatment that I plan to run through the tank to help clean out the carbs.
Excited to see if I've done the wiring right.
