“Far lights”• Lights of commercial fishing boats beyond Langoy Island are vissible from the town beach of Araceli on the first night of Pamelan Festival. There has been a clamour from coastal fisherfolks and municipal officials to increase the tariff on commercial fishing vessels benefiting from Araceli’s rich fishery stock. The measure will allow Araceleños to benefit from large scale fishery that harvests natural stock that are spawned in its community protected reefs.
