10 reasons to watch quarantine stories 10: what happened last night?
wlw. friends to lovers. yearning.
it’s cute af. and funny. and heartwarming. and romantic. and generally just really high quality considering it was made during lockdown over video call
look? at that poster?
it’s only 20 minutes long. i wish it were longer! but at the length it is, it’s a) an excellently constructed short film and b) short enough that you can watch it three times in your lunch hour
it’s a standalone. (again, i wish there was more of it. but it also means you have no excuse not to watch it immediately)
the characters are great! and the relationships (romantic and otherwise) are also wonderful
the chemistry is off the charts (despite the fact that it all takes place over video call)
brief but poignant consideration of prejudice/homophobia (nothing too heavy but wow, they really did so much in this 20 min short. i’m amazed)
it’s made by nadao bangkok, who also did i told sunset about you (so really i shouldn’t be surprised by the quality). the actors do a great job—it stars pearwah nichaphat (boyo from friend zone) and some other new faces who are also excellent
if you watched 2gether and wanted earn and pear to get together, you should 110% watch this and heacanon it as an adult earnpear get-together story. i did when i rewatched it and it was beautiful
you can watch it subbed on youtube on the nadao bangkok youtube channel (and you can thank me later)
