Sequence Guides

Interns were tasked to help with the creation of sequence guides on their assigned day (mine was Friday) and monitoring the long format content on that same day.

[THE LONG VERSION]

Because there were a lot of interns in Panahon TV, we were divided into two groups: live broadcast and social media. As part of the live broadcast group, I and Sophia were assigned to monitor Friday long format broadcasts during 5AM.

For the first week since the task was given (November 19), we were just told to watch the broadcast and list any observations and improvements that could be done. By the succeeding weeks, we helped in formulating the sequence guides which would be followed for our respective day - Fridays. We even went beyond just arranging the segments during the first week by also writing the spiels of the reporter (which we found out later isn't really included in the task but it was still used anyway).

Each producer has a different way of formatting their sequence guides. As for the December 10 guide, we only gave news items as these are the only ones needed by the producer.

Segment Pitch

As interns, we were tasked to produce one segment for the company and right after my interview, I was asked to pitch my segment ideas to the head writer of Panahon TV.

All topics were approved, but the Alam Mo Ba topics were more favored.

This was the last project I had for Panahon TV. I came up with a segment which would showcase science concepts through everyday objects.

It was supposed to be water bending at first (static electricity) but the weather and humidity didn't allow me to do so. Thankfully, I had this back-up idea in case the first one failed.

One of the outputs required for an intern at Panahon TV was to write a blog post. I decided to write about burnout as it is something that almost everyone has felt with the situation we are under in. The topic also helped me manage my stressors in a way, so it was a win-win situation.

Lift Off! Women in Space

This blog by Ms. Agay Llanera-Reyes was written in celebration of the World Space Week with 2021's theme of "Women in Space." The webinar hosted by the Philippine Space Agency entitled Lift Off! Women in Space was an almost 3-hour long program.
