Things are weird when you're a kid

I have this very clear memory about when I was a little kid. It was some holiday, and the extended family was visiting at gramma's. They were talking about Return of the Jedi (OMG SPOILERS!), and what Vader looked like under his helmet. What I am sure my aunt said was that he had a lot of pancake makeup on. What I imagined, in my little kid way, was that his head was made of pancakes. This mental image of pancake!Vader stayed with me for many, many years, and was so mentally scarring that to this day, I still sometimes think of pancakehead before I can call up the mental image of Old!Vader. Just... Picture that very last scene, where he's just gotten his helmet off, and he's dying, and Luke's all sad... Then picture PANCAKES.
