Vitaa the Panda, Kwami of Life
Updated art and bio for Vitaa! Much like with the other updated Alphas so far there's no big change to her design, just updating her to my current art style.
Have you made any original Kwami? If so, I'd love to hear about them?
For the oc kwami in my miraculous changes, info about them will come to be as more character analysis come out.
But over all, to give a general answer.
Valrr the Lion is confident, egotistical, smug, and clever. He aims to help humans become true kings/queens, realize their worth and promise, and shape them up to be leaders. He is also incredibly lazy (he can give Plagg a run for his cheese) and wants to have humans learn that they can rely on others, and those others will be better suited for those jobs.
Arria the Songbird is expressive and animated, and likes to start her mornings with a song (and sometimes she sings in the evening too). She's especially delighted when paired with someone who likes music. She likes to teach humans to express themselves, is a romantic, values family bonds (found family included), to be generous and compassionate, and likes to teach the importance of creativity and hard work. She is also a gossip and is incredibly nosy.
Sillva the Deer is quiet and regal, often preferring to observe and take in his surroundings. He speaks very little and while his advise is always sound, it can be easily missed. Because he's stoic, he's a popular kwami to try and prank from the more impish kwamis, which he can be spooked and lose composure, though it's rare (and it's something that greatly irritates him).
Savvy the Mantis is observant, precise, dedicated, and very intellectual. She likes to see humans problem solve and get a sense of how their mind works, and she wants to improve that intellect. She has zero patience for recklessness and idiocy, and talks down to humans who don't think things through. She doesn't ease up on her treatment until they start to think for themselves.
Bamboo is a "mama bear", very quick to accept and embrace the human she's paired with, desiring to connect with them deeply, to a point that rationality can go out the window when they're upset and she agrees they've been wronged. She may take matters into her own paws. Typically she likes humans to know she is there to help in anyway she can, offering them a foundation, and desiring them to grow and be who they are. To find inner strength in themselves and to thrive.
Allma the Eagle is a literal free spirit, very feisty and energetic, she has a strong sense of integrity, virtue, and justice. She likes to urge her humans to step up as heroes, realize and embrace their strength, never fear to do what's right, even if it means rebelling against what is expected. She is also observant and perceptive, she will help her humans learn to expand their perception, be open to see details they've never seen before, to expand their mind and awareness.
Does Vitaa like flower crowns? Does she enjoy making them?
Yes, especially with good company.
See more details about the kwamis and their powers here: Vitaa, Shii, Uunice; or on Ao3.
The Forgotten Miracle Box is the smallest of all Miracle Boxes, featuring only three kwamis, an Alpha Duo and an Elemental. The Miraculouses in this box were deemed too dangerous for humanity to wield, and as such were hidden away by the Mage who created the Miraculouses.
The Forgotten Box also hosts another powerful magical object known as the Soul Gem, which was used to help craft the Miraculouses. This gem is one of two, created by Uunice, Tikki, Plagg, and Graay.
The kwamis in this box are very unfamiliar with humanity, having interacted with few humans outside of the Mage himself. Unlike other kwamis, they have not had the opportunity to form lifetime bonds with holders or know the pain of losing them, and tend to view the world and the life on it as a whole rather than on the individual level.
Now this is just for clarification so since Bamboo is the Bear Kwami of the Bagua then does that means she looks like a panda?
Yes! And I'll probably turn her to be a panda kwami. She at the core is a bear, but she's also a red panda reference. Have her being made to be a panda kwami, best of both worlds.
To add to it, her having a long tail can also be a reference to Ursa Major who has a longer tail too.
If Adrien and Marinette had received Vitaa and Shii instead of Tikki and Plagg , how would bem their relationship ?
I am assuming they would still have their same counterparts (Marinette - Vitaa, and Adrien - Shii); and that Vitaa and Shii have spent more time on Earth, meaning they are much more familiar with humans and Earth than they currently are.
For Marinette and Vitaa, I don't thinks would be all too different for their bond compared to canon. Like Tikki, Vitaa would be very warm and encouraging to Marinette, though a bit more motherly and calm compared to Tikki. Vitaa would probably be very good with helping Marinette when she starts panicking and spiraling, and would be more assertive when Marinette makes her rash decisions.
As a hero I think Marinette would be hailed as more than a hero, perhaps even something akin to a deity with the power to bring back people from the dead. I think she'd be uncomfortable with this level of admiration, and there would probably be people who take it to the extreme. On top of it all there would be a moral struggle when it comes to her power, because it is unavoidable that people would be seeking her help because of it, and she'd have to deal with the moral burden of when she should heal and who she should leave to their fate.
As for Adrien and Shii their dynamics very different from Plagg and Adrien. Shii has a very bleak look on life, not exactly negative or bitter, but just very accepting of the bad things in the world and not optimistic of things getting better. This means Shii would probably struggle to be the emotional support that Adrien needs. Shii would care and he and Adrien would get along, but he wouldn't be like Plagg in terms of being able to distract Adrien or encouraging him to break free.
Sadly things wouldn't be likely to get much better for Adrien in terms of being a hero. There is a high chance he could get wings, but with the powers he has there would not be many opportunities for him to use it, and I think the world would only fear him for it. Both he and Marinette would be able to rid akumas of their negative energy (or he could also straight up kill the butterfly to keep it from escaping), but neither of them would be able to fix the city or strategically use their powers in a fight.
Now getting a bit on the dark side of things, probably the quickest way they could stop the akuma and prevent it from doing too much damage would be for Crow!Adrien to use his powers to kill the akuma, and once the butterfly was purified for Panda!Marinette to bring them back to life. It would be effective in theory, but I think the city would very much come to fear Crow!Adrien and just the idea of being akumatize, which would only add to the emotional stress being placed on Adrien and take it to the extreme. He would probably be very dependent on his kwami and hero partner to help him get through it all. Also Hawk Moth would constantly be targeting Panda!Marinette, as he only needs her Miraculous to bring Emilie back, and not both of their Miraculouses. This would probably add more pressure onto Adrien, feeling the need to protect his partner even more than in canon.
Basically a lot of moral issues would arise and it would be a lot angstier than what we got in canon.
To Vitaa, which Kwami would say you're closest to? Not including Shii.
Vitaa: Probably Tikki or Uunice.
To Vitaa, what is your overall goal in Life?
Vitaa: I am afraid I do not understand what you mean. I have had many goals throughout my life, and many I have achieved.
---
(I don't think Vitaa can fully comprehend this question, especially if it was just asked in passing. She's an immortal being who has the entire universe in her paws, and always has. In her mind there is no pinnacle to reach, she just is. Life will always go on, and she'll just move onto her next goal as it comes.
She also hasn't spent a lot of time with humans, so the idea of a finite existence and having a limited time to experience Life just isn't a concept she's familiar with. Her perception of life and time is just very different from ours, and even from other kwamis.)
