thank you, anon. i didn't publish the name because i went to the blog and couldn't find the post, so maybe they took it down? i didn't recognize any other tumblr artist's works, most were from pixiv. but i did leave them a long message asking that they please source in the future or just reblog. hopefully that was enough, i didn't want them receiving a bunch of hate asks or anything.

but really, thank you again! i'm glad there are those of you out there that see reposted art and do something about it. it's really discouraging to artists to have their art reposted without permission, and everyone recognizing and reporting it can help. i'm sure i'm not alone when i say i want us all still posting for a long long time!

Hey! Is there a fic that goes with that Mermaid!AU fic? :D

oh! um! it was only supposed to be a doodle that turned into lineart that turned into coloring practice and failed :>

the story though is Eren is supposed to leave on a very long journey with Armin to see the rest of the world, so he wants to say bye to Levi, who he has befriended over the past two years. usually their hangouts consist of Eren rambling about this and that while the merman pretends to ignore him (he doesn’t even nod or shake his head to in reply to questions. is he mute? does he even understand English?? the brunet has no clue, and half the time Levi doesn’t even look at him), but Eren knows the guy can’t hate him that much. he’s there at their meeting spot day after day, without fail, after all.

anyway, so Eren is leaving tomorrow, and he’d been torn about it — he and Armin had been planning this trip since they were little kids, but he knows there’s a chance Levi won’t be there when or if he comes back. he wishes Levi would at least acknowledge his goodbye, but he doesn’t get anything. not one nod, not a glance, and certainly not one word.

so needless to say, he’s pretty crushed, and assumes the friendship thing was one-sided. but of course he’s wrong. because when they reach their first destined port, there’s Levi, waiting for him.

I'm seeing all those really pretty cards and now I feel very self conscious about mine I Can't draw shit and I tried to make a cute thing but I failed miserably and it's a really awkward card aaaah. I really hope that I won't receive a super-pretty-well-drawn one, I think I'd feel so bad that I'd send an actual gift to the person omg

oh anon, i feel the same way about all my stuff xD;; and well, i can't speak for everyone else, but i know i would love anything that was made for me, "good" or not. even though they might think it looks like junk, i know they put in the time and effort and made it especially for me. ♡

i think a lot of the others (if not all) feel the same way, so don't worry too much about it!! just giving it your best is enough :)

Any tips for making cards? Like, the type of paper to use or best kind of envelope to use, etc.

Hmmm i can’t really recommend any types of paper, I guess it all really depends on what you’re going for… but when I sent cards (you can see most of them here) I chose completely blank ones because they give you so much room~

(If you don’t have enough room on a card you can always fold up a piece of paper to insert in between)

As for other tips I do have a few:

Do include your tumblr username if you wish. This way the recipient can contact you once they receive your card. (Or if you don’t want to, they can always contact me @ tumblr, and I’ll pass along the message to you.)

It’s totally okay to draw on the outside of the envelope. (I really kind of love that, actually) Please remember, however, that other family members may be the ones taking the trip to the mailbox, so please keep it SFW and not so super duper shippy ;)

Snow and damp weather can make your envelope unreadable. Make sure to write your recipients’ addresses really neatly in pen or waterproof ink if possible.

Lastly, just have fun with it. Of course I want everyone to get awesome cards, but the whole point is to enjoy connecting with others while spreading Ereri cheer. ♡
