Ruri's Mom
瑠璃の宝石 (Ruri no Hōseki lit. Ruri's Jewelry / Introduction to Mineralogy / Ruri Rocks) - 2019 Manga Series with 2025 Anime Adaptation
Mother of Ruri Tanigawa. Denied giving her daughter's monthly allowance early when she wanted to buy a quartz necklace. This somehow ends up with her daughter buying a rock hammer. Presumably with an early allowance.
In the anime, her daughter ended up buying an Estwing rock hammer (The brand wasn't even parodied it's literally just an Estwing hammer). Note that this hammer is typically twice the price of a plain quartz necklace from some random mall stand that she originally wanted to buy.
Ruri wore the hammer proudly on her hip. So I guess she still ended up buying something to adorn herself with.
Also, Ruri's mom had a father who was so into cool rocks that he owned a crystal radio. So she wasn't entirely unprepared when her daughter fell down the same path.
