Pandanggo sa ilaw
REMIND ME TO TELL YOU LATER: PANDANGGO 🕯️
WE HIT $1000 ON THE HI NAY FUNDRAISER! So we released this bonus episode on our feed as a reward!
Pandanggo sa Ilaw is a timeless Philippine folk dance. This dance of lights simulates fireflies in the night by balancing lighted candles in cups. Mari recounts her time in elementary school dancing Pandanggo Sa Ilaw, dancing with her childhood crush, and the first time she must deal with a haunting in front of her classmates. In particular: the first time she meets a spirit she wants to help, but can't. Content Warnings: Descriptions of facial mutilation, darkness, mirrors
At $2000 we'll release another bonus episode, same with $3000! At $4000 we'll continue Hi Nay in 2025 :)
Keep us going and get more Hi Nay!

Happy Thursday! Here’s another drawing to celebrate #filipinoamericanhistorymonth ☺️ I loved drawing the #Pandanggo earlier this year so I decided to do another drawing. Enjoy! #cathleenabalos #crystafett #patreoncreator #patreonartist https://www.instagram.com/p/CGG0MFNDUdy/?igshid=1r5hyjppox6kh

Looks like I’m dancing again!!! Positively Pinoy!
One of the Philippine folk dances, combined with oasioas (swing), that I love seeing. It's called pandanngo sa ilaw. There's also a version of it where the dancers have water instead of candles or oil lamps.
