Theme song group shot
So, the first thing I noticed upon rewatch of this week's pair of episodes is that we've now been introduced to every character in the earth group shot near the end of the theme song. We've got Dr. Jan in front, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy on the right, the IT Gals and Panda-tron on the left, Humphrey also on the left, Sara Murphy Terri on the right, and Mr. X and Jenny in the background by their ice cream truck.
Now, everybody in the photo is currently an ally to the Plantars except Mr. X and Jenny. I should also note that Dr. Frakes is not present in this shot, despite appearing in this season, and that she is decidedly NOT an ally. Make of this what you will, but my interpretation is that this is a group shot of everybody who will help the Plantars on earth. This also means two more things:
It feeds into the theory that they will eventually come around and help the heroes, even if only to ward off Andrias's invasion.
We won't be introduced to any more important characters from now on. As in, next week is where the real fun begins. (Or maybe Froggy Little Christmas is just a one-off holiday special like The Shut-In, and the real fun begins in the following episode.)
