Life Update, for those who give a damn 💖
I’m out of isolation, which is nice, starting to feel a bit better. Breathing is easier, coughing is less, basically Covid seems to be on it’s way out. My hand is still pretty bad but getting better by the day, also I would like to thank my dog for biting said hand because clearly what I needed on it was bloody teeth marks, she was helping, I’m sure. Anyway, so yes, I’m starting to feel better, which I’m happy about. Getting back a bit of an appetite, which is good, because boy howdy does Covid not care about the fact that you need food to live. It’s especially bad for someone like me who had bariatric surgery 10 months ago, my stomach only holds a half a cup of food/liquid, so not eating is pretty dangerous. Which brings me to my bariatric update, in 10 months I have lost 130 pounds! Hell yeah bitch! I can’t wait to feel completely well again so I can get back into the swing of things, it’s been like 2 months since I’ve been able to work out or do yoga and I’m feeling restless.
My mother is starting to feel better too, like me, she had Covid as well. I think hers was worse, but that’s because she’s in the high risk group, so for a while there we were all very concerned. Also she managed to get her epilepsy meds, my dad talked to the head pharmacist and he agreed that her health was more important than any deductible and that she could have her meds now while we figured out the money stuff at the end of the month, so thank God for him being a decent fucking person!
Yeah, so that’s what’s been going on. I think my mental health is starting to get a bit better as well, which is good because after the death of my service dog last month, I wasn’t doing well. I still miss him everyday, but I no longer feel like I’m choking, ya know? I dunno, I just feel like things are starting to get back to normal, whatever that may be. I mean, our rent is insanely past due but I’m not even worried about that because they said that after paying whatever we can this month that we can then set up a payment plan to get it back on track. Because of the pandemic we’ve only been able to pay about half of it a month, so we’re like 1,000 dollars in debt at this point but since we live in a government owned facility (yay for the projects housing) they’re willing to work with us to help get that shit sorted, especially since we’ve never been late or short with the rent before, not in 18 years. So yeah, that’s surprisingly not stressing me out, which is odd because money is like my number one stressor of all time. Has been since I was a child, poverty life and all that lol. Anyway, if you got to the end of this, I’m amazed! You get a cookie 🍪
