The super lovely colleague at my remote work who tried to convince me a year ago that I'm "too isolated" and should be dropping covid precautions to come to the office and hang--and that doing that would magically solve all my problems!!111--is now quitting her job because she's sick all the time with one thing after another and her doctor told her to take a fucking break and go on disability.

It's due to stress, though. Her job is just too high stress and she gives too much of herself at work. It's not connected at all to the thing last year (never mentioned again) where she told me she had long covid after catching covid at a work party from another of our coworkers.

I am so heartsore and speechless and just, fuck it all. Burn it all down.

My colleague deserved better than this. We all deserved better.
