So there’s good news, and there’s bad news. The good news is that so far, only one person I know has caught this wretched virus (and he’s already recovering). The bad news is far too many other people have fallen ill, and that’s not letting up any time soon. As I’m sure everyone knows by now— or has been able to guess— that means the closure of cons, faires, and other events pretty much everywhere. Which means if you know a crafter or vendor or pretty much any independent artist, you know someone in trouble. (And who could probably use a hug— virtually, of course.) . Unsurprisingly, I’m facing the postponement of my first show of the season: Dark Side of the Con. It’s a bit of a nightmare, since this was to have been the first step on my finally getting back into a regular show schedule after the cancer. My second and third shows are on shaky standing as of now, too, and beyond that I don’t dare contemplate at the moment. We were already stretched pretty thin, so this is a bit of a disaster. But we shall think happy thoughts. It’s just as well we’re not hitting the road right now: several of my lovely minions are immunocompromised, as is my dad. Social distancing is best, and I’m already a bit of a hermit, so nothing much has changed. . Except, of course, that the cats and I still need to eat, so I need to sell some pretties. . So!
