I think pandora.com has connected with me on an emotional level because i been feeling sad for the past couple days and all it wants to do is play sad 80′s love songs
Let me just say the "Belly Dance Radio" channel on Pandora is very conducive to blocking outside noise and getting late night work done.

Doctor Who and Music
If you haven't noticed by now, then I must not be doing a good job. I am a HUGE Doctor Who fan. I may not know everything about the show, but it is my all time favorite show. I am also a big music person, and will sit playing games on my XBox while Pandora.com is on my computer. These two "obsessions" of mine have led to interesting conversations, events, and days (in general).
Yesterday, I went out for coffee with a close friend of mine. We talked for a couple hours, during which I was constantly quoting Doctor Who or giving a lyric that had what she said within it. I got several glares and even a few punches or slaps. It was amusing, and we would laugh as I came up with more and more references, some of which surprised her and me. I didn't realize how much music I listened to, or how memorable the quotes were.
So at some point in the near future, I will be challenging myself to a day of lyrics and quotes. I will only speak using quotes from Doctor Who, or lyrics that I recognize.
Note: This carried over to my day job. As the assistant manager was counting a register's money, I commented, to everyone's surprise, with a quote from a rap song (after I had expressed a dislike for most rap). The lyric was as follows (though I changed one word) "Look at you now... Look at you now... Look at you now... You're making paper..."

Thanks To Pandora
I now know that my strongest musical preference is for pop rock qualities, electronica influences, a subtle use of vocal harmony, mild rhythmic syncopation and acoustic rhythm piano.
Also folk roots, acoustic sonority, repetitive melodic phrasing, extensive vamping and major key tonality.

Me: Let's see if Pandora has stopped playing bullshit.
Me: *goes to pandora*
Me: Nope.
