The crispy texture of pan-fried tofu is combined with the savory flavors of garlic and soy sauce in this recipe for Pan Fried Tofu with Garlic Soy Sauce. This dish, which can be served as part of a larger spread or as a quick weeknight dinner, is simple but delicious.
Ingredients: 1 block tofu, pressed and sliced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 3 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped. 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted optional.
Instructions: In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the tofu slices for 45 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown on both sides. Take out the tofu and place it aside. Add the minced garlic to the same pan and cook for approximately one minute, or until fragrant. Stir together the sesame oil and soy sauce after adding them to the pan. Put the tofu back in the pan and brush it with the mixture of soy sauce and garlic. Allow the tofu to absorb the flavors by cooking it for a further one to two minutes. If desired, garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Enjoy while hot!
