I am happy to see I am not alone :-) Because I feel like everybody is linking to some spotify playlist or other.

But but but @lizziethereader and @bibliophilecats you can listen to spotify for free! (Yes there are ads but if you use it on website with an adblocker nope) No need for paying anything you don't own! Like I understand why you prefer to buy actual copies but just know that there's no need to pay for streaming!
I didn’t know that. Do I have to create an account and log onto the site? Because that is another thing I am thinking about. It would be another website/company knowing more about me than I would like to share (I know that I already share my data with many companies but I get more and more conscious about this fact and try to at least not add more companies to that list).

Thank you for that piece of news. It reminds me I need to burn a new mixed CD (and I can than save that music as non-copyrighted mp3 on my PC again - I know, there is a loss in quality everytime you switch from one medium to another but honestly, if I chose my settings well, I am not really able to hear it).

It’s the same with my car, CD yes mp3 no. But it is also a good way to doubly save something if I bought a single song as download. And I like mixed CDs a lot. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by my music library and it is nice to just listen to a few favourites (and there are some songs that manage to sneak themselves onto every other CD or playlist).

Yes, that is another thing. I like buying CDs to support artists. I had a quick look at some facts about spotify and they, for example, seem to pay very little to the artists. I have parred down my music library quite a lot but those CDs I still own and the few I bought recently I really like them (some artists really make an effort with the packaging of their CD).

I actually have never even been on the spotify website so I cannot comment on the interface. But I also found a lot of great music through series/games and some fanvids. Also, Carol of the Bells is one of my favourite Christmas songs, especially in the Muppets version.
