Sooooo.. I only found out about 3 months ago that non-binaries are under the trans umbrella...I'm non-binary.. I had a crisis where I started crying because I felt like I wasn't "trans enough" to be accepted by the community... I also feel like I don't fit or that I am not valid enough cause I'm ace and non-binary.

I doubt anyone is going to see this but... Yeah I didn't and don't really feel vaild.

I’m Ace theme-ing myself for pride today and I know it isn’t a lot, and that black/grey/white bases aren’t really as colorful as most of the other people there will be, but it means so much for me to be able to go and fully understand and openly embrace this part of my identity for the first time in all thirty of my years of existence. 

Last year I wasn’t out-out during June. I went to Pride and if people asked I didn’t try to hide or deny anything, but I wasn’t making posts about it, or bringing it up on my own. Just a handful of close friends knew. But representation matters, and visibility matters, and I’m glad to be in a place this year where I can be a little bit of visible rep this year and play a small part in making sure any other Aces there feel a little more seen this Pride!

Since it’s pride month (and this is my blog, so nobody can stop me), here is the thing - that may not even be a thing at all, I honestly don’t know yet.

tldr: I went to delete the word “ally” from my bio, bc it does not feel right anymore. Problem: no idea wtf to put instead. Ya girl is confused.

I’m a cis woman. I have continuously been with cis men for 15+ years. My relationships always grew from long friendships. I never got the point of dating while also somehow craving the type of “normalcy” I saw in media. Recently, my partner and I decided on an open relationship. This week, I met a person who was not a cis man and we definitely clicked - though at this point I can’t say on what level exactly (for the reasons below).

I have always felt a great kinship with the lgbtq+ crowd. Many of my friends (and I guess all my hellsite peeps) are in there. But based on the life I have led, in the eyes of society, I am a straight woman. I have never experienced oppression or negativity due to my sexuality or gender. I don’t want to insert my privileged ass into a community that is not mine. At the same time, many things about me feel distinctly not straight - have been for a long time.

My physical interest comes and goes in phases, but so far only appears after building trust and emotional connection - Demisexual has felt like the right word for some time now.

Aesthetically and emotionally, I find joy in all sorts of humans, though with a tendency towards masculine or androgynous presentation - Seems kinda panromantic? Idk

Being autistic, I’m generally very prone to atypical approaches to social interaction, also with romantic partners. Depending on mood and sensory stuff, the way I feel about my own afab body fluctuates loosely between comfort and... meh? I can’t really untangle my divergent brain from my desires or my self-image here - The term neuroqueer feels right-ish.

I guess the reason I never bothered naming these aspects of myself was that I did not think they would ever be relevant to my lived experience anyway. Now maybe I should change that?

i really hate when this happens. whenever this happens, i usually either lie and say im gay, or walk away angry cuz aaaaaaaaaa i don't wanna waste my precious time and brainpower (i have none what am i talking abt) explaining myself to walking brick walls. like, honestly, just look it up on google or ecosia or SOMETHING, just please, i beg of you, please at least TRY to understand!! (this is why i dont even come out as nb to idiots like this cuz i know they won't understand that either, i don't even see the point in trying anymore, also im a lil confused abt my identity rn, so yeah, ive given up)
