Smirk placed on his face he spots her and waves. “I’d say good morning but I don’t think 12:15 is still considered morning.”

his hearts beats frantically. his body starts to feel warm. he looks to the side, felt more attracted to the idea of the wall nearby rather than to confront the reason as to why he’s feeling so embarrassed. she must have felt it; the comment after she grabbed his arm told him everything.

there is nothing to do in the classroom. kawakami hasn’t arrived yet and it has been five minutes. ten more and it meant they could leave. might as well take an opportunity and joke around a bit. mishima and him were already making a plan that involves a camera and an old highschool stereotype.

he was strutting his way to ann, who is pretending to be playing something on her phone, with a smirk on his face. his plan was to just touch her shoulder and just hide himself. that didn’t work out.

one way or another he found himself pinned against the wall via the style of kabudon. his classmates are watching, confused and shocked by such a display, mishima just remains silent... and ren himself snorts while putting his head into his hands.

his eyelids are barely open. he blinks in and out of conscious, his sleep waiting for a moment to strike and a stubborn sense slapping him enough awake so he could temporarily take in the situation. the movie went by in flashes; at this point he only got some broad strokes and ren’s sure he’ll forget about it the moment he awakens after a long nap.

he feels arms wrap around him. it goes on to hold him, pull him towards a chest and give him an embrace. ren makes a vague noise. it was close to a hum, but also a slight groan. where does this pain come from? he thought. it wasn’t long on his mind. shortly after that action he falls asleep.

the first colours of fall already has appeared in tokyo. it was only begin september, but ren, while thinking about it, isn’t sure enough if he could correctly say that’s the usual for this month. the class was boring so he find himself lost in staring at the lively colours ( he did evade a certain teacher’s chalk ) as he raps his fingers against his cheeks.

by the time class is done he’s still looking. only with the bells sounding from outside did he start to gather his stuff. he was about to go for a quick go to the library when ann appeared in front of his desk. it leads to a quick chatter; more meaningless than meaningful, but he appreciates the calm that came with it. for a moment he feels… normal; a reversal of the situation before tokyo.

eventually they are shooed out by the teacher and find themselves outside the gates. ren looks at his phone and types a message in the chat. he then puts it away. he looks at ann with almost an expecting gaze. maybe she has a clue of what to do today?

he is right; sure enough the blonde has an idea. a smile grows, one only given to friends, and he finds himself nodding. “ sounds like a good plan. you know any good places that have ‘em? ”

Wrist

everything happens in such a fast pace that even he himself couldn’t take hold of it. the more days pass by the more worries added onto his own piles of problems. november 20 will be soon here; he could feel the stress ann is having when she touches his wrist in such a manner.

the same hand touched reaches for hers. gently he’d intertwine them. then he’d gently knead them as a silent assurance. “ trust in me, ” he says, “ i’ll be fine; i know it. ”
