Basically what I’m thinking is creating this new species that are werecat. I call them pantheress—not like pink pantheress, just pantheress. They are cat women who feast upon human flesh and lure their victims in with a human-like appearance.

Imani Luna Javiera is the daughter of a semi-famous duo of cat burglars. Her dad and mom were apart of (re: kidnapped) an illegal program that was attempting to make better spies and assassins but was found out and shut down by Batman since it was happening in Gotham at the time. This is also where her parents later met Gabriel, another test subject.
Imani’s dad, Namir (The Panther), got Panther-like abilities and her mom, Felicia (Cat’s Eye), got the ability to manipulate luck. They were presumed dead by the government, and they were sort of stuck in Gotham, so they decided to try and make a life for themselves there with the help of Gabriel. They tried doing honest work, but it wasn’t easy considering Namir’s mutation being very visible, so they ended up utilizing those new powers to their advantage and became thieves alongside Gabriel. They made names for themselves pretty quickly, but also making enemies of villains like the Penguin, the Riddler, Joker and Catwoman.
Namir and Felicia had the twins, Mylene and Matteo, and started arguing about their jobs. Namir couldn’t really see a way ‘out’ and Felicia didn’t want them to potentially piss off more people and bring the kids into it. They still loved each other, but had conflicting opinions and feelings on how to proceed, so Felicia ended up quitting and separating from Namir just to keep their location safer. Namir and Gabriel kept working to bring in money, but they started arguing about Felicia because Gabriel thought they should cut her out entirely while Namir refused to do that.
Anyways, five years after Mylene and Matteo are born, Namir and Felicia have Imani. The twins didn’t really get either of their parent’s powers, so they assumed any more kids they had would be normal. Imani ended up getting both powers and it was immediately obvious from the first few ultrasounds that she had more feline ears and a tail. Felicia panicked and ended up keeping Imani home with her nearly all of the time after she was born to keep her safe. Gabriel started scheming and managed to convince Namir that they should start mentoring Imani to be thieves like them, since it was really the only way out for her. Namir agreed, albeit reluctantly.
Imani grew up alongside her dad and ‘uncle’, kind of acting as their sidekick (known at the time as Cub) and frequently fought against Batman and Robin (Jason) since they usually got tangled up regardless. They were sort of kind of friends — as much as they could be when their dads were fighting. They were the same age at the time. Jason’s death happened, which spooked Namir because he also has beef with the Joker, and wanted to keep Imani far away from his ‘job’ now as possible. Gabriel was immediately against it, and convinced Namir that they took her on one more job just to secure a lot of money for her and Felicia. Namir, reluctantly, agreed.
This ended up being a terrible idea because this is the same job where Namir ended up being killed. Gabriel assumed it was Imani who did because like.. no one else was around and he was immediately freaking out because his best friend just died. He tried to attack Imani, but she managed to slip away since the police had shown up. She ended up on the streets for the next several years of her life (she was fourteen when her dad had died) just getting by, surviving, stealing, etc. I like to think she worked odd jobs for rogues here and there before she was taken in by Selina at seventeen. Imani ended up taking her mom’s old mantle of Cat’s Eye during this, which is also around the time someone tried to kill her. Imani ended up finding out that her dad’s death was planned by the same organization that originally kidnapped and experimented on her parents. She decides then and there she’s going to investigate and take them down once and for all. This is how she ends up meeting the original four outlaws cause they end up looking into the same organization! Along the way, Imani ends up coming out of her shell a lot and ends up going by the name Pantheress to honor her dad
