OC Lore: (x) (x)
And so, with much hesitation, Milena lead Lorena through various streets without much of a destination. She was mostly just trying to avoid the more populated areas, in fear of the police.
After walking for a while, Lorena turned to her. "Soooooo, is this what you do all day? Just wander around?" Melina blushed, this was completely humiliating. "Um, kinda yea." In truth, she would also be looking through people's trash for food, but there was no way she was gonna do that in front of her.
Lorena hummed, "Well, this time instead of walking around aimlessly, why don't we go do something instead?" Milena looked up at her with worry, "Lorena please, I-" The larger woman cut her off, "No excuses!" She grinned. "I'm not taking no for an answer. Let's go!" She proclaimed, as she grabbed her by the hand and began to drag her towards the shopping district.
After much protesting on the way, Milena finally relented and allowed herself to be dragged along. This whole situation was so surreal that she had no clue what to even say anymore. She was still nervous about the police, but she was even more scared to tell her what had happened with the cops. She couldn't bear the thought of Lorena thinking less of her.
Lorena stopped once they made it to 7th street, much to the appreciation of Milena. It was the commercial center of the town, but thankfully, not a ton of people were out and about this morning. She looked up at Lorena and saw she was deep in thought about something. Her eyes set on something in the distance and she smiled. Her grip on her hand tightened. "Come along, Mimi!" She declared as she began to drag her along again.
"H-hey!" Milena squeaked as she tried to keep pace. "You don't need to hold my hand, y'know. And I told you last night to call me Milena!" She blushed, looking away. "Mimi sounds like a name for a lapdog." Lorena chuckled at that and came to a stop, bending down. "You're right, I don't need to hold your hand, do I?" she purred, as she suddenly swooped the girl into her arms. Milena's face flushed as her heart began to race. She closed her eyes as Lorena brought her face close to hers and whispered, "The name suits you, y'know? A cute little girl like you would make such a good lapdog."
Lorena's words made Milena's insides turn to jelly. Her breath hitched as she squeezed her eyes shut even tighter. The burning desire for her touch blazed inside her. She felt confused and embarrassed, why was she reacting this way? She let out an involuntary whimper, which only served to humiliate her more.
Lorena laughed and pulled her face away as she began to walk down the street again. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she chuckled. "You're just so easy to tease. Sorry if I upset you." Milena willed herself to open her eyes, but still couldn't bear to look at her. She felt so stupid, so embarrassed. Lorena had just been teasing her, so why was she getting so worked up? She slowed her breathing in an effort to calm down.
Lorena carried her in silence for a minute as Milena composed herself. "Y'know," she finally said, daring to look up at her. "I would make a terrible lap dog." Lorena grinned and met her gaze. "Oh yea? And why is that?" Milena gulped at her intense stare, but continued.
"Because I bite."
Lorena finally put her down when they reached the front door of their destination, it was a salon. Milena gave her a questioning look, but Lorena just smirked in response. "You have beautiful hair, my dear. But it looks like a rats nest." The smaller girl scowled at the comment. "Yea well, I'm sorry hair care hasn't exactly been a priority over food and, y'know, not freezing to death." Lorena threw her hands up, "Point taken, my bad. But still..." She put her hands on the girls shoulders. "Trust me, ok? Let me do this for you." Milena sighed, why was she going along with this? "Fine," she said flatly.
They entered the shop and the lady at the desk looked up at Lorena with a smile. "Miss Lamae! Wow we haven't seen you in ages! Welcome back. And I see you brought a-" she glanced and Milena with a bewildered expression, while trying to maintain a smile. "Friend?"
Milena didn't like this. She unconsciously reached for Lorena's hand. "Yes, hello Cassandra," Lorena said in a very stiff business like manner. "My friend here needs a wash, trim, and style. Is Kerry here?" Cassandra still had that fake customer service grin on her face. "Yes, but he has an appointment in 10 minutes. I'm sure Shelly would be happy to-" "Tell him I'm here," Lorena ordered. Cassandra stared at her for a second, about to argue, but seemed to think better of it. "Yes Ma'am," she muttered, before rushing away.
Milena looked up at Lorena with a frown. "You didn't have to be so mean to her. She's just doing her job." Lorena returned her frown, but her eyes remained soft. "Mimi, the people in this town are petty, ambitious, and cruel. Believe me, if you knew what I did about Cassandra over there, you'd treat her the same." Milena stared at her for a second in thought, "What about you?" Lorena's frown turned into a small smile. "You wouldn't catch me dead living here. This place is a cesspool." Milena was suprised and was about to say more, when Cassandra returned. "Kerry would be happy to see you now," she said. Her happy customer service voice now laced with venom. Lorena nodded, "Thank you for the help as always, Cassie."
Lorena ushered Milena towards the back of the shop, where a short man with brown curly hair was waiting for them. "Lorena! My dear how are you? I hear you've brought me something special today." Lorena smiled, "Yes, someone very special." She put a hand on the girls back, "My little friend is in desperate need of some help, as you can see." Milena felt like a child the way everyone was talking about her. She looked down at the floor, blushing. Kerry gasped, "Oh my God, what happened? Yes, we need to get her in the chair, STAT."
With a nudge from Lorena, Milena sat in the chair awkwardly. Kerry came behind her and touched her hair. "You poor thing," he cooed. Her face flushed and she closed her eyes. Could this just be over already?
The man got to work de-tangling her hair. Geez, was her hair really that matted? She took care of it the best she could, but clearly it wasnt enough. Lorena and Kerry were talking about something, but she did her best to tune them out. This was just so bizarre. Yesterday she was a homeless vagrant and now she's sitting in a luxury salon at the behest of a glamorous woman. It was crazy.
Once her hair had been thoroughly brushed through, he began the washing portion. He leaned her head back as she felt the shower head run down her scalp. She wouldn't lie, it felt amazing. She nearly drifted off to sleep as he slowly massaged her scalp with shampoo. He rinsed and repeated with what she assumed was conditioner. She came out of her stupor when she heard Lorena giggle. She opened her eyes and the saw the woman looking down at her. She said something that Milena couldn't make out over the sound of the water.
Finally, she was lifted back up, at which point her hair was brushed out again. He began to carefully trim her ends, all the while, Kerry and Lorena were still chatting. She tried tuning into their conversation, but they were talking about rich people shit, so she tuned back out. After he was done trimming, he began to put new product in her hair. From there, he began the slow process of resetting her curls. It was agonizing to sit through, she was so bored. The other two were still fully invested in their nonsensical conversation and paid no attention to her. It made her feel like some kind of doll. She wanted to say something, but thought it would be rude considering how kind Lorena was to bring her here at all.
After an hour (which felt more like five), Kerry was finally done with Milena's hair, and she had to admit, the difference was astonishing.
Her curly, frizzy hair was now back to the coils she had as a child. Back then, her grandma used to wake her up early every morning to do her hair. But when she passed, Milena had no clue how she did it. So her hair ended up becoming a huge mess of a mane. Lorena put a hand on her shoulder, "You're so beautiful. It should be a crime to hide this hair from the world," she gushed. "I completely agree," Kerry chirped in. "You're a very lucky girl. I've had clients pay thousands of dollars to get hair like yours." Milena looked down at her hands, "Thank you very much to you both." She blushed. "I really appreciate what you've done for me." Kerry took the cape off of her and she stepped down off the chair. "You're very welcome, Miss Mimi." He said, cheerily. I hope to see you again soon!" Milena was suprised at the use of that silly nickname. "Actually," she began, "My na-"
"Thank you so much again, Kerry." Lorena interrupted. "But, we must be off. Have a good day!" She took Milena by the hand and lead her out of the shop.
Once they were back outside. Milena yanked her hand away and glared at her. "What was that for?" She scowled. Lorena looked down at her confused, "What was what for?" She asked. Milena crossed her arms, "You completely interrupted me and then dragged me out of there like I was some unruly child!" She growled. "I know you enjoy teasing me, but I'm not a toy!" Was Lorena only helping her to amuse herself? Or as a joke? Her eyes became glassy as she gritted her teeth.
Lorena looked down at her in shock. She knelt down and took her by the hands. "Hey, wait, I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to make you feel that way, I promise." She squeezed her hands. "I know I can be weird, or bitchy, or intense, and I'm sorry for that. I was just too excited for what we were gonna do next and I got carried away. I should've been more considerate of you. I'm really sorry." Lorena reached out and caressed her face. Milena closed her eyes at the touch and took a deep breath.
Lorena sighed. She supposed she may have been a little too forceful in leading her. But what business did Mimi have talking to Kerry? THEY were on a date, she had no business talking to anyone but her. Still, she would have to relent for now. It was just so hard to be gentle with her. Lorena wanted to drag her around, pose her, pinch her, squeeze her, pick her up..... She supressed another sigh. Patience was a virtue, there would be time enough for that once she came home.
She stood back up to her full height and extended her hand. "Would you....like to hold my hand? I won't drag you, I promise," she blushed. Milena stared at her blankly for a second, before giving her a gentle smile as she took her hand. "Where to now?" She chirped.
Lorena beamed down at her. "Now, we're going to get you some clothes." Milena looked at her in suprise and was about to argue before Lorena interrupted. "The clothes you have now are not suited for the coming winter. I won't hear any arguments about this, understand?" Her tone was firm but gentle in a way that made Milena's face flush. "Fine...." she mumbled.
Milena's mind was swimming with emotion as they walked down the street. If she had ever lashed out at her parents the way she just did with Lorena, she would've been whipped and locked in the closet until she 'learned respect.'
But Lorena had apologized. She hadn't invalidated her feelings or gotten mad. She just.....listened. A warmth filled her and she found her grip tightening on Lorena's hand.
They passed a number of boutiques on the way, but Lorena clearly had somewhere specific in mind. Milena had admired the glamorous clothes in the display windows before but she had never dared to go inside one of the shops. Despite not wanting Lorena to spend anymore money on her, she was so excited to actually go inside one of the boutiques.
They finally stopped in front of a shop that had a variety of pretty dresses in the display window. "Here we are," Lorena announced. Milena was admiring the clothes on display when she was hit with a sudden gust of wind that chilled her to the bone.
Lorena looked to the sky, "Looks like the weather's making a turn for the worst. Let's get you inside." Milena shivered and nodded her head as they both walked into the shop.
The store was of a moderate size compared to some of the others down the street. The air smelt of vanilla and the lighting was soft. It was heaven compared to the Walmarts that she was used to.
"Welcome in!" the woman at the desk said. "My name is Christina. How can I help you?" Lorena gave a business like nod, "yes, my friend here is in dire need of a new wardrobe. Particularly, any winter clothes you have available. The saleswoman glanced at Milena with an unreadable expression, before turning back to Lorena with a smile. "Certainly! I'll just need to take her measurements."
The saleswoman ushered them to the side and began to take measurements, making note of each one. "So tell me, what kind of pieces or styles are you looking for today?" Christina asked, looking to Milena. She blushed, what was she supposed to say? She'd never picked her own clothes before. At home, her parents would've taken her to Walmart or the thrift store and have her try on whatever was on sale. She had no style to speak of, and even if she did, this was Lorena's money. What was acceptable to ask for? "Ummmm...." she trailed off, looking to Lorena.
Lorena met her gaze and nodded. "Let's start with outerwear and undergarments, from there we can play by ear." The saleswoman nodded in agreement. "Of course, that sounds reasonable enough." She said, standing up. "Why don't you two step into the fitting room and I'll bring you some options."
From there, they were ushered into a nice room with a sofa and a wall of mirrors. Milena was suprised at the size of it, it was bigger than her bedroom back home. "Would you ladies like any refreshments today? Coffee, tea, water, wine?" Christina asked. Both Lorena and Milena shook their heads no. "Ok then. I'll be back in a few minutes!" She said, shutting the door.
The two women stood there awkwardly for a moment. "I can-" Lorena coughed, "I can leave if you want me to." Milena blushed. "No, you don't have to. I- uh- want you here." Lorena looked away, blushing. "Oh- well- Thanks," she smiled.
Not wanting another uncomfortable silence, Milena changed the subject. "You like books?" It was a stupid question but she couldn't think of anything else in the moment. Lorena looked at her confused for a second before laughing, "Oh, because of the bookstore?" She shook her head. "I like books well enough. But to be honest, I didn't even know I owned that shop until a week ago." Milena looked at her in suprise, "Really?? Then who was running it?" Lorena sat down on the sofa with a sigh. "Well, the shop was opened by my grandfather as a sort of hobby. He helped run it until he passed, at which point ownership passed to my father." She frowned. "My father didn't care much for books, or for his own father, for that matter. So he let the manager of the shop and her family run it since then. But, I guess business had been declining these last few years and they had to close."
Milena could tell from her tone and facial expression that she didn't like talking about her family. "Oh, I- I'm sorry." She stammered. Lorena looked puzzled, "What are you sorry for? It's not like either of us were involved with the place before it closed." Milena looked at her thoughtfully. "It just seemed like...... nevermind," she trailed off. "I'm sorry." She looked away, she shouldn't presume to know how she felt. They'd just met, after all.
"Hey," Lorena cooed. Milena turned back to her and saw she was tapping the seat next to hers. Milena softly smiled and obliged her, sitting down on the sofa. It was nice to sit so close to someone without them recoiling away or giving her a dirty look. She thought about reaching out to touch her, but she wasn't sure how appropriate it would be. She clasped her hands together to resist the urge. "So, are you going to reopen it?" Milena asked. Lorena shook her head, "No. I only came to see it out of curiosity since it was my grandfather's. I'm going to catalog everything left, then sell." Milena looked down at her hands, disappointed. "I don't know why everyone here hates books... Y'know they closed the library too?" She sighed bitterly.
Lorena could see that this conversation struck a nerve with Mimi. She gave her sympathetic smile and touched her hand.
With a knock, the saleswoman came back into the room with a few garments, "Here you are. I'll be outside when you're ready for more or if you need assistance." Milena thanked her as she left. Christina had brought in a number of long overcoats and a few different pairs of stockings, that upon further inspection were quite thick and lined with fleece. She decided to try on the overcoats first, as she wasn't mentally prepared enough to show her bare legs to Lorena.
The coats were fairly thick, but not at all bulky, they appeared to be made from wool, and had a soft inner layer. They were very comfortable, but none of them fit right. They were way too long and far too big in the shoulders. She was practically swimming in them. Despite this, Milena had never felt so glamorous in her life. It was such a stark contrast to the $15 polar fleece jackets she was used to.
"I think the brown one is the cutest on you, what do you think? Lorena asked. She was right, it had large buttons going down to the bottom, where it flared out like a dress, and the caplet that draped on her shoulders tied together with a bow, which made her look younger than she really was. She looked like she belonged on a holiday card. "It's beautiful, but it's way to fancy to wear out on the street. I'd ruin it in a week!" Lorena grinned, "I wouldn't be so sure about that." Milena turned to her with a frown. "But, it doesn't even fit! Please, don't waste your money on this." She pleaded. Lorena looked at her in suprise for a second before bursting out laughing. "Oh honey, did you think we were buying off the rack?!" Milena stared at her dumbfounded, before her face went beet red.
Lorena realized that she'd probably made her upset by saying that. It wasn't intentional, but the thought of shopping at a department store was just too funny. No, both her and Mimi had very unique body types and they deserved clothes that fit them properly. She threw up her hands, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm an out of touch rich bitch. But please, don't worry about my money. I came here because I want only the very best for you, ok?"
Milena's heart fluttered as her annoyance melted away. She looked away shyly. "Ok......" she mumbled. Lorena hummed, "So, is this the one you want?" Milena just looked at the ground and nodded. Lorena grinned, "Good, I'm glad. I'll buy you a few more pieces once we get this one back. But I need you to have at least one coat since it's going to snow tomorrow." Milena looked at her in shock, "It's going to snow tomorrow? Really? But, won't it take a few weeks to make" Milena was scared, she couldn't survive out there in the clothes she had right now. Lorena had a devious look in her eye, "Your clothes will be ready by tonight. Or at least, the essentials will be." Milena raised an eyebrow at her. "How'd you swing that?" The taller woman just chuckled. "I have my ways."
Milena just smiled and shook her head, this woman was crazy. She looked to the stockings hanging up and decided it was time to rip the band-aid off. She felt like she was gonna die of embarrassment if she took off her pants in front of Lorena. So with the coat still on, she went to the corner of the room, and faced the wall to try them on.
Lorena was extremely disappointed, to say the least.
Milena quite liked the stockings. They weren't sheer at all, just a solid black. They were more like leggings with feet, if anything. Of course, they were still way too big for her. She took them off and hung them back up. "I like these," she smiled. Lorena returned her expression. "Good, we'll add them to the list."
Lorena went outside to tell Christina what to bring in next as Milena stared at the ceiling. A small chandelier hung there, it's light reflecting off the crystals dangling from it. She closed her eyes. This past day has felt like a dream. Like some kind of romance novel. She wanted this to last forever.
Lorena came back with a handful of dresses and Milena's eyes widened at the sight of them. They were beautiful, like something a princess would wear. There was no way she could wear those in the street. She thought about arguing again, but she knew it would be like arguing with a wall. It was Lorena's money and she'd spend it how she liked. Milena sighed.
"Aren't these all so cute?!" Lorena gushed. "I think they'll suit you so well." She hung them up on the wall and brought the first one up to Milena. It was a soft, dark green dress with embroidered detailing. She felt like she was going to destroy it just by looking at it. She took off the coat she was still wearing without thinking, and her face flushed when she realized she had forgotten to put back on her leggings.
Lorena pretended not to notice.
Milena was flustered, but thought she might look weird rushing over to put her pants back on. Besides, they were both girls, so it was fine, right? She was about to take off her sweatshirt when she remembered that she had nothing on underneath it. (She was going to murder whoever stole her backpack.)
"Um, just so you know," she quavered. "I uh- don't have a bra on," Lorena went bright red and looked away. "Uh- I mean- that's ok," she stammered. "These dresses don't like- require you to wear one or anything. So uh- Do you want me to turn around? Or-"
"NO!" Mimi shouted. "I mean-" Why did she yell like that? She had to calm down. She took a breath and cleared her throat. "You- You don't have to turn around, it's fine." Lorena glanced back at her with wide eyes, before nodding with a shaky smile.
Milena took another breath and tried not to look so nervous. This was fine. She had changed in front of other girls so many times. This was no different. She slowly took off her sweatshirt and set it on the couch. With the exception of her underwear, she was now completely naked before Lorena. Her heart was pounding and her breathing was shaky. She didn't look at Lorena in fear of what it would to to her. Instead, she focused on putting on the dress.
Lorena held back a gasp when Mimi's top came off. Her body was perfect. Everything from her large round breasts, to her chubby stomach and hips, to her thick thighs. Lorena bit her lip and took a breath. A fire burned inside her as she imagined the things she would do to that body. Her skin was like a canvas, and Lorena wanted nothing more than to paint it. She clasped her hands together, it took everything in her power not to take the girl right here. The thought of holding her down and cutting into that porcelain skin was intoxicating.
Milena felt embarrassed when she couldn't get the dress to clasp properly. "Um- I guess I'm too fat for this one," she nervously chuckled. Lorena snapped out of her reverie and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't talk so negatively about yourself." She chided. "Just because it's too small, doesn't mean you're too big." She squeezed her shoulder gently. "Do you like it?" The gentleness in her voice and words made Milena want to cry. She'd always told that she was fat. Her parents used to berate her when she needed new clothes and threatened to lock the fridge and pantry up so she would lose weight.
"Yes," she whispered, eyes glassy. "I love it."
Lorena's heart melted at the sight. She couldn't help herself, she bent down and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. Mimi looked up at her in disbelief, before emotion overcame her face and she burst into tears. Lorena knelt down and took her into her arms. Mimi buried her face into her shoulder and cried while Lorena whispered reassurances in her ear.
Milena felt so stupid, why was she crying? She was acting like a child. She tried to calm herself to no avail, the tears just kept coming. It felt like a dam had been open, and everything she'd been holding in was rushing out. She gripped onto Lorena like she was going to die if she let go. Lorena didn't move to let go either as she began to rub circles on her back. Milena hated herself, she was pathetic. "I'm sorry," she gasped through the tears. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
"Hey," Lorena soothed. "You don't have anything to apologize for." She softly kissed her temple and her cheek. "I know whatever you've been through must've been terrible for you to end up on the street alone. I'm sorry if this has been overwhelming." Milena pulled away, "No! Don't apologize, please. I- I don't deserve this, this kindness. I just-" she shuddered. "I just don't understand."
Lorena pulled her back into an embrace and held her tight. "You deserve this. You do. I promise," she whispered. "The people in your old life didn't deserve you, how could anyone hurt such a good girl?" She began to stroke her hair. "I promise I'm not helping you out of some sense of pity or obligation, ok? You're not taking advantage of me." Milena trembled, she wanted to believe her so bad. "Ok," she sniffled.
Lorena continued to hold her until she stopped trembling and her breathing returned to normal. She slowly let go and Mimi withdrew from the hug. The girls face was flushed and her eyes were still red and glassy, she gave Lorena a pitiful look that made her heart race. She smiled and tucked Mimi's hair behind her ear. "C'mon, let's get you into these other dresses." Mimi smiled half-heartedly and nodded.
From there Milena tried on about a dozen dresses, some casual and some fancy. They all had ornate details but were still wonderfully comfortable. She really did feel like a princess trying all of them on. They settled on 5 dresses, 4 casual and one fancy. Lorena wanted to buy them all, but Milena talked her down to a more reasonable amount for now. Lorena however, would not compromise on shoes. She bought a pair of snow boots with a cute fur trim, penny loafers, Mary-Jane style kitten heels, and a pair of plain black lace-up boots. Milena had only ever had one pair of shoes at any given time, so she was very excited to finally have options. Though, she did still feel guilty about Lorena spending her money this way.
When they were at last finished, Milena put back on her clothes and sat down on the sofa. Trying on clothes was exhausting. Lorena chuckled and pet her head, "Are you tired?" Milena looked up at her sheepishly, "a little, I guess," Lorena smiled lovingly down at her. "In that case, wait here and I'll go settle things, ok?" Milena nodded sleepily.
Lorena stepped out of the room and began to make her way to the desk, when she overheard Christina on the phone. "I'm telling you, it's her! The girl from the news, dummy! I was gonna call the cops on her tweaker ass, but she came in with this loaded client, so I don't know." She paused and laughed, "Yea, maybe she's her pimp, who knows? I certainly wouldn't fuck the bitch though. She'd probably give you gangrene or something." She laughed again. Lorena gritted her teeth, she walked behind her and tapped her nail on the desk, making the saleswoman jump. Her smile faded instantly as she quickly hung up the phone.
Christina stared at Lorena like a deer in headlights. Her mouth twitched, as if she was trying to come up with some justification for her actions. Lorena wasn't having it. "You know you never asked my name? That's some pretty bad customer service, if you ask me." Her voice was like ice. "I-" the woman swallowed. "What is your name, Miss?" She said, almost in a whisper. Lorena looked into the woman's eyes, "Lamae." Christina stared blankly for a second before her eyes widened in recognition. "MISS LAMAE I-" Lorena grabbed her face, cutting her off. "My friend is very tired, so I would appreciate it if you kept your voice down." She growled. "Now listen, that girl is not the one from the news. She is my treasured companion. Understood?" Tears welled in Christina's eyes as she nodded.
Lorena's grip tightened, "Now, I have already provided you the list of what we will be taking. I need the coat, dresses number 2 and 5, plus the snow boots and heels ready by 8pm tonight. The rest will need to be completed within the next three days. Am I understood?" The woman made some kind of whining sound that Lorena took as a yes. She let go of the woman's face with a shove. "Close the shop," she ordered. "I want everyone on this, I don't care if their kid is in the hospital or whatever bullshit excuses they come up with. Either they come in or they're fired, effective immediately." Christina gave a terrified nod, "Yes Ma'am, I'll call them all right now!"
Lorena glared at her, "You know you are paid very generously here. More than you deserve. But if I hear you again, talking about things you know nothing about, then I'll make sure the only place you can find work at is at the gas station, are we clear?" Christina was terrified, "I'm sorry, Miss Lamae. I'm sorry," she sobbed. "I spoke out of turn, it'll never happen again. Please, I swear it."
Lorena considered her for a moment and then smiled, "Good. I'm glad you understand. I'm relying on you to coordinate this project." Christina looked up at her with a pathetic expression, "I- I won't let you down, Ma'am." Lorena hummed. "I know you won't."
Once that was settled, she went back to the fitting room, only to find that Mimi had fallen asleep. She nearly squealed at the sight, she was just too cute. She began to imagine all the ways she could wake her up, hitting, biting, choking, thrusting...... She sighed, all ideas to hold onto for later. For now, she was content enough just to hold her as she carried her out the store.
