The documentary details the story of how a small town floating on the water developed one of the best football teams in southern Thailand. Despite living in a small fishing village.It details the events of how they brought their team together, made a makeshift football pitch out of wood and nails and defied all expectations by making it to the semi-finals of a one day football championship.
I watched this on a site called http://www.shortoftheweek.com Below the video there was someone who reviewed the video itself and he made a very good point. "It’s a killer premise. I’m inspired all over again just writing about it. And the production values are up to the same quality standard." I fully agree with this statement as I feel that everyone loves a great underdog story and the production for this Piece is top notch. He does say this though "professional cinematography and sound make it so that the film feels very similar to your traditional American cable classics" I find myself disagreeing with this because it seems to have a more foreign style and the fact it's in another language also takes it away from being anything American.
The documentary recreates all the events in 5 minutes with a simple structure. The introduction and the idea to lay football is done in a minute. making, practicing and going to the tourney are done in two and the other two minutes are the games and the message at the end. Despite the short time it never feels rushed. You feel satisfied you got everything you need in the space of 5 minutes. Don't believe me, take a look for your self. 10/10
