This deciduous perennial poppy was similar to the cultivar Papaver (Oriental Group) 'Harvest Moon' (oriental poppy) which produces ruffled, orange, double flowers. In the background were the silvery, sword-shaped leaves of the evergreen perennial Astelia chathamica (silver spear).
