Hi! Have just recently found your art and they're so beautiful.
thank you so much ❤️
A Love Like This
A few hours before I was writing this, my bestfriend and I were talking about artists we loved listening to and shared new songs that we recently have been enjoying. There's one song that I especially liked. As I was listening, I suddenly thought of how I wanted someone with me to dance to the song to. It's called Thunderbird by Racoon Racoon.
"I have no fear Right now and right here Laying down, living slow, 'cause I know That you're mine And we'll be fine
I wake up everyday And I find that I love you more That I love you more Than I did the day Than I did the day The day before"
The lyrics above is very similar to what Papa says about his love for Mama, "Akala ko nung kinasal kami ni mama, punong-puno na ako ng pagmamahal para sa kanya. Na realize ko na hindi pa pala yun ang kapunuan ng love ko. Araw-araw pala akong mas nai-in love sa kanya." *kilig*
Their promise on their wedding day is also the most beautiful of all the promises on weddings that I have heard, "I shall not promise to love you forever because forever is too short a time for our love. I shall but promise to love you each and everyday of our lives."
The kind of love that my parents have, is what I dream of someday sharing with someone, too. I know it's not a perfect one, just like everything isn't. After all, only God's love is perfect. But it's the closest to perfect that I've witnessed. A love with God in its center. A love that understands, forgives, and sacrifices. A love that gives joy, warmth, and contentment. A love that grows everyday. A love that continues to choose love.
I hope that I'll get to have this kind of love, too. If not more, then at least close to it. My parents have gone through so much together and I'm sure more that we, their children, do not know about. Despite the trials, they are still together and still very much in love with each other. I know because I see it in their eyes. I see it in the way they look at each other as if they share the same one soul. And it's the most beautiful thing to witness.

What book(s) are you currently reading?
Currently reading (and LOVING) A Skinful of Shadows by Frances Hardinge and listening to the audiobook of Mythos by Stephen Fry.
A book you didn’t expect to like as much as you did?
I wasn’t expecting to love Six of Crows as much as I did - I liked the Grisha trilogy, but it wasn’t a favourite. But Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom blew me away.

Vacant
The sky breaks in oranges and reds A buzz from my phone “Good morning,” it says. And we talk and talk and talk Until the sky is painted in blues and purples And when the crickets sound In the darkest of the night, We close our eyes to, “Sweet dreams.”
But like a sweet day ending in lonely nights Our chats dwindled to nothing Gone are the days when I thought you were mine Gone are the days when we both said good night I was waiting for the prick, For the punch, for the stab But nothing came
Nothing - it was just… Just vacant Just empty And numb Like a vein without blood
So suddenly, my life became quiet So suddenly, I felt empty
