Changes to the Paperman project? 👀

I guess I haven’t been all too public with it aside from some tags here and there, but I’ve been revamping the story in general and some of the characters and relationships as well. Still figuring some out, but I guess the main things rn is that Katie and Brandon are just good friends now bc she’s just got too much lesbian energy I guess. Other one that was altered was Oscar and Lizzie bc of their drastic age difference and being younger and dumber when I first made it, not realizing how damaging that can be, I changed it. Also think Lisa will have some alterations to character design since I based her off some basic concept art of the short in the first place...There’s just been a few things I’ve been wanting to redo and am fine with going on a clean slate p much since so much time has passed and I’m a different person. A lot of things didn’t come together as well as I thought or it just didn’t sit right with me. So I’m just kind of going back to square one on a lot, but still have some favored things on the side in case I want to bring them back. There’s a few events I would like to have stay but we’ll see.

So about 2 years later I finally bother sharing these.

Made a gem AU with the Paperman Project cast and tbh I mostly did to make fusions lol. I jumped the gun on making the fusions before even designing their original clothing designs so these ones probably aren’t set in stone... but they’re what I first did and I just figured you guys deserve to finally see them anyway. I feel bad that I’ve hardly posted about these characters in their original story but you’ll probably see more with the AU posts.

I’d love to share more of them and all the lovely fusions we had~

hey there! i don't know how much you can reveal about your paperman idea, but i was growing curious if you had planned the movie to be entirely black and white, or if it was going to be black and white with certain things "highlighted" with color?

Some things would be highlighted in color throughout but it’s mostly black and white; at least until the end. It’s all kind of symbolic actually!

Finally putting the Paperman Project preview trailer back online and adjusted.

Had an older version before that I posted for a bit, but then took it down again. I feel I should leave something of it still up regardless. It’s something we’ve been working on for the past 3 years and all of the pictures shown here are strung out from over that time and vary a bit in completion haha...

I still thought it was a good thing we should finally share more of and I wanna stick to that. Your support even just in the livestreams has meant the world to us and we only hope that one day this project can see the light~ Thank you!

Paperman Project - A full length movie continuation of the Disney Paperman short (the short itself taking place near the beginning of the movie) that we plan to pitch to Disney one day.

We follow George’s perspective through 1953, Manhattan, in a world where some people throughout history have had super powers and are called “anomalies”. Things can get pretty crazy, but  to George, everything has looked rather gray, at least up until he decided to throw some paper planes out a window and meets some colorful new people. It’s not a superhero story; just some people who happen to have powers trying to get by and make their own path.

Martin has probably come the furthest in character development than everyone else in the Paperman Project. Physically and character-wise. His body type just kept changing for a while. Started out scrawny, then super beef, then more lean beef, but still small haha.

Goes from some of the first pics I ever had of him to some of the more recent-ish ones done on paper. Come a long way over 3 years.
