Believing Heart Tarot: Death

I had the pleasure of joining 71 other artists to make a Little Witch Academia themed tarot deck, called Believing Heart Tarot!
I was assigned the card "Death" which is actually commonly misunderstood, as it symbolizes rebirth, change, transformation, endings, and new beginnings. (When "reversed" or upside-down, it symbolizes a resistance to change.) As such, my card's subject is the Pappiliodya, which appears in the LWA tv series- the cocoons are mistaken for some sort of disease, when actually they're a rare blessing!
There's a lot of stunning art in this project and I'm still amazed I was picked to join in- please be sure to support it!!

if anything, it seems that it’ll allow you to illuminate your surroundings and cast fireballs, should you ever need to roast a marshmallow or two.

The spirit exhales in mild annoyance as he takes command of a massive oni, its singular white eye turning brilliant blue as it grips the club in its hand even tighter than it was before. He pulls the beast away from attempting to flatten a stranger and turns the bludgeon on a crowd of mixed foes -- demons, beasts, humanoids alike are smashed against the ground.
This beast is simple enough to command, but it makes communication impossible. And despite its size, it isn’t very mobile. After forcing the oni to injure itself to a... very extensive degree... Yomiel jumps back out of the creature and into his nearby body.
May as well check on the person who could’ve died, why not.
“Hey!” he yells, pushing his shell to race towards that stranger. “Don’t let yourself get caught off guard like that!”
