Late night school shift || Alecto & Edgar
If there was one thing that Edgar took seriously, then it was his job as a headboy. Okay, maybe he let a thing slip from time to time, depending on the damage done or not done. Sometimes it was even better to turn a blind eye, when it served the student’s entertainment and no one got harmed in the end. but once he had stepped in, and once he had given out punishment for something a student had committed, then he always followed the rules and played by the book. So right the next day after catching Alecto in the hallway, Edgar found himself in Professor Slughorn’s office, discussing the incident and the resulting punishment with him. It was easy to discuss these matters with Slughorn, since he mostly cared about everything else but these things, and he left most of the judgment to the head students anyway. Eventually that meant that Edgar’s reduced punishment for Alecto was in fact no problem, and all he needed to do was to find and tell her now. After those rumours about them spreading though, it felt more like running the gauntlet. Yet, he walked straight up to her after lunch had been finished, ignoring the glares and glances of the rest of the Slytherin table. Standing straight, he was all head boy when he cleared his throat.
“Mrs Carrow, I have talked to Professor Slughorn about your detention, and he has told me that you are to sort files in the archive room on the second floor. The first time will be on Friday evening at seven. If you have any further questions about this, I have to ask you to address him about those matters.”
