Alecto snorted in annoyance. So close to leaving and she’d have to go back - if he had at least taken a bit longer, she’d be able to have left without making her situation worst. But no, of course that didn’t happen - things lately were anything but good to her.
She slowly turned back to the room - it’s not like she would leave, but it wasn’t like she’d do her job well done and willing either. No one said how much she had to deliver ready, anyway - which means she’d have to stay there for a little while (or a long while, most likely), but not necessarily organize a bunch of files. A few, yes, but no quantity specified - and specification was very important.
Although Bones being the one who’d stay there watching her organize the things would be far more interesting than if it was the potions teacher, with Slughorn she knew she’d leave earlier. He’d hate to waste his time there, and Alecto could be persuasive - besides, he did accepted to be bought with gifts and stuff. Edgar, however, was much harder. She tried once and couldn’t get away completely - which is why she was here now, after all.
But she decided to look on the brighter side - and that was being alone with the handsome headboy until late night. It would be hard to convince him to be actually fun, she knew - he was on duty, after all. That and the girl wasn’t sure how he was dealing with the whole gossip thing. Still, she could have her entertainment trying - and who knows, maybe actually getting something. “You know,” Alecto started, a hint of mockery in her voice.”I think I’ll start avoiding seen your face darling, because it never brings me good news.”
The room looked like pretty much a teacher office did - well, not one luxurious like Slughorn’s surely, but still, the basic teacher office. Alecto sat at what would be the teacher’s desk, facing Edgar, and crossing her legs, very aware of how short her skirt was. ”So, I think none of us really want to be here. How willing would you be to make a deal with me and everyone leaves soon and happy?”
She didn’t expect him to accept it at all - all she was doing is testing what she’d have to work with. If he acted like that day, joining the game and the teasing, it would surely be easier than if he was completely Headboy mode on. Much more fun, too.
It may not happen that night, either, but Alecto was decided to make that rumors about the two of them true now - if she’d lose everything because of the rumors, she’d at least have the fun part of it. In the end, it didn’t matter how much she had controlled herself and not even kissed Edgar the other night. In the end, even if she didn’t cheat on Amycus he thought she did - and if she had to listen to him and to the whole bloody school claiming she was sleeping with Bones, she’d at least give them a reason to actually say so.
She knew it wasn’t the best - if Amycus did decide he was being the jerk that he was actually being, it would all be messed up. But again, why did she have to be hurt and suffer and then accept him as if nothing happened? If they did got back together - which seemed unlikely right now - she’d have to forgive him. He could deal with her sleeping with Bones after they had fought.
