Peter could swear his face never stopped being red from the last few texts. Even as he quickly stuffed a backpack and told his Aunt he was heading over to a friend’s house for the weekend, which she didn’t mind a she was doing something with her book club or something, he couldn’t believe he was doing this. And with haste. He kept telling himself it was for the greater good, to keep one of the most notorious monsters under wraps.
He swung over to Eddie’s, with it being night already, he didn’t worry about changing into costume, just to have it ruined, or being seen. Plus the wind felt good against his face. He wasn’t surprised when the door was unlocked, though he was quiet when he entered, taking his shoes and socks off at the door, already knowing he wouldn’t need them until he stepped out of the place. Like times in the past when he came to Eddie’s, Peter dropped his backpack at the entrance of the bedroom, usually forgotten for most of his stay. “You look ridiculous,” he said as way of greeting to Eddie, the sight of him in person in his ruined costume going straight to his dick. But he was a bundle of nervous energy, sway side to side, almost not wanting to get closer.
Seth paced around his dorm room, thoughts running through his head just by the sight of the picture he put on his bedside table of him and Luc. ‘Luc wouldn’t do this to me,' he thought, ‘he loves me. I’m not worth his love but he does. He loves me. He would never cheat on me. Never. But god, what if he did? What if he finally realized he can do so much better? Oh god…’ All those thoughts made him want to puke.
Suddenly he heard his phone ringing, once more, and he reached for it thinking it’s Lucian to hang up on him but when he saw who it was he answered, feeling livid instead of depressed all of a sudden.
"What do you want?!" He yelled into his phone, "is it not enough you ran my mum away from where she was born and raised?! Is it not enough you’re not there for Ethan?! Or me, for that matter, what do you want, Linden?!"
Seth heard his father take a deep breath to calm down and he could basically see his father with wide eyed right now. “I just want to talk to you, Seth,” he said slowly and calmly.
"Talk?!" He asked in surprise, "what? Is the press saying you aren’t connected to your family? Do you want to show the other countries how close to his faggot son the Prime Minster of England is?!"
"Seth," Linden started, "calm down, please. This is not why I’m calling, I just want to talk to you. Please."
Seth panted as he stopped his pacing and stared at the wall in front of him. ‘Maybe talking to him won’t hurt this much. Not more than I already am.’ He thought before nodding his head. “Okay,” he said, “talk.”
"Alright," Seth could’ve heard him moving some papers around, "how are you? How’s school?"
"Linden, I don’t have time for bloody small talk right now. Just— just get straight to the bloody point!"
"Seth, answer my questions and calm down, please."
"I’m fine," he lied, "in fact both school and I are marvelous!"
"So did you get a boyfriend yet?"
"Yes," he said as he clutched his phone in his hand, "what do you care? What does Lucian has to do with all of this you’re leading up to, Linden?"
"Would you stop calling me Linden already?!" He asked angrily.
"This is your name isn’t it?!" Seth deadpanned.
"Yes, but I am your father."
"Oh, so now you want to be my father?!"
"Seth, I’ve always been your father."
"But you never wanted to be," seth screamed into his phone, "if you did you would have spent time with us!" Linden started to object but seth beat him to it, "and don’t get me wrong, I get your job is important and you spend most of your time there but we are also important! In fact, we are more important than your job and when you don’t have work, what did you do? Oh, that’s right, you went to play Football with your mates!"
"Seth.." He started.
"No! I don’t want to listen to you!" He yelled, feeling tears falling down his face, "I’m having a bad day today already, I don’t need your bullcrap as well."
"Is everything okay?"
"No!" He sobbed into his phone, "nothing is okay! Apparently my boyfriend is cheating on me which is probably isn’t true ‘cause Luc loves me and will never do this to me and— and—"
"Just like you loved Kelvin and would have never raped him, right?" His father asked and Seth stiffened.
"W-w-what?" Seth asked as he started to shake.
"Seth, please tell me you didn’t do it," Linden begged, "please, son, please."
"I—I—," Seth sobbed into his phone hand shaking making the phone to drop from his hand and he bend over quickly to pick it up, "no! I didn’t," he screamed, "why the hell do you think I’ll do such a thing?! What kind of sick person do you think I am, dad?!"
"Seth, I know you didn’t," he assured him, "I just had to make sure."
"Make sure?!" Seth yelled angrily, "if you trusted me and knew me you’d know I’d never do to do something like that!"
"Just like if you trusted your boyfriend you knew he’d never cheat on you," Linden tried to make reason with his son but that just made Seth more livid and for his eyes to go wide with anger.
"Luc has nothing to do with this, father," Seth said through gritted teethes, "I trust him with my life and I love his more than anything in this world, he is my world, which is why I know he’d never do this to me but I’m not worth him, I’m not worth his love," Seth swallowed thickly around the lump in his throat, "but those are two different things. You’re my father like you said before so why are you doing this? Why are you hurting me more than I’m already hurt? Is it fun for you?"
"Do you really think I enjoy seeing my son in pain?!" Linden asked, "I can’t stand it! I can’t stand you being away from home and I can’t stand the thought you are hurt. The sight of you in that hospital bed all bruised and shattered hunts me, Seth. I was sure you’re gonna die!" His father started crying making Seth cry as well.
"And yet.." Seth swallowed, "you believed I raped the only person who never made fun of me and who wanted to be my friend. That I raped my own best friend. What does that mean, father?"
"Son.." Linden started.
"No!" Seth stopped him, "stop calling me, leave my mum and brother alone. Do you understand me, Linden?"
Linden was silent for a few minutes before sighing. “Seth,” he said, “I can’t.”
"Then try!" Seth yelled and hanged up on him.
In a wave of anger Seth punched the wall a few times until he felt his bone move out of it's place inside of him and his new IPhone 5S break in his hand and he cried in pain before falling to floor. “Lucian…” Seth whimpered as he clutched his hand to his chest.
NOTE: After everything that's been going on, Kurt goes to his brother for comfort and guidance
Kurt had barely been sleeping for days. Things were tense and strained in Blaine's suite and more than anything he just wanted things to go back to normal, both between him and Blaine and him and Christopher..but he didn't think that could happen. He didn't even feel like eating right now, he just wanted to curl up and forget about things for a while so he was glad that Jon agreed. When his class ended he packed up all his things and headed out, intent on heading to Dalton to meet up with Jon. He walked outside and was about to go that way when instead he spotted his brother already waiting for him and he made a bee line towards him instead, relieved to see him already.
Jonathan smiled at Kurt when he saw him coming out of McKinley and walked over to hug him. "Hey Kurt." He said and held him close for a moment. He missed his brothers whenever they weren't around for a while and the last time he had seen Kurt had been when things were bad with Christopher, so he didn't spend a lot time with him on that day. When they parted he looked at him. "You look tired."
Kurt fell against him, taking comfort in his brother's arms around him and he hugged him back, letting out a slow breath to try and compose himself because the last thing he needed was to lose it right then and there. Once they pulled back and Jon spoke he shrugged, giving him a semblance of a small, sad smile, "I am tired."
Jonathan looked at Kurt. "What's wrong that you're so tired? You should sleep more, you know?" He offered his arm for Kurt to take and then started walking to his suite. They could just cuddle on the couch for the break and then he would maybe walk him back, depending on how much time was left for them to get back to class.
Kurt stayed quiet when he was questioned, taking his brother's arm and letting him lead them back to his suite. It took another minute or two before he finally spoke up, "I haven't had a full night's sleep in days...I just...I feel really...lost right now, Jon." he admitted quietly, keeping his head down.
Jonathan bit his lips when he heard Kurt talk. It didn't sound good. "You can tell me more about it in my room, okay?" He said and walked a little faster so they would arrive soon. When they came to the suite he opened the door and walked in, pulling Kurt with him. "Go sit down, I make us a tea and then you can tell me what happened." He walked into the kitchen, making tea for them and when he came to the living room with two cups he sat down and looked at his brother, giving him time to tell him what happened.
Kurt sighed softly before he nodded, silently agreeing with whatever he said. Once they got to the suite Kurt nodded again and walked over to the couch, putting his bag on the ground and taking his coat off before he sat back and waited. A few minutes later Jon came back with tea and Kurt murmured a small thanks as he took the cup. He took a few slow sips, trying to let it soothe him before he held it on his lap, "I don't know what to do anymore....I don't know how to fix things."
Jonathan looked a little confused and bit his lips. "Fix what? What is going on? I need some background stuff to help you with that." He knew that everything was a little crazy because of Christopher and Alex right now and he hoped that it all would calm down soon. But he didn't know what exactly was making Kurt this upset.
Kurt swallowed thickly, looking down at the cup in his lap, "With me and Blaine." he replied quietly before finally looking up at him, "Ever since last weekend when I caught Christopher flirting with Blaine...things have been different." He let out another breath and put the cup down on the table, using his free hands to now run through his hair, "Ever since then...things have changed. Blaine and I are always fighting now...and he always goes to Christopher at the drop of a hat...and things just keep getting worse between me and Blaine and I want to fix things...I want to make things better...but I don't know how..I feel like every time I try talking to Blaine..I just make things worse.."
Jonathan listened to Kurt and grabbed his hand when he saw how upset he was. This wasn't Kurt anymore though and that worried Jon a little. "Okay...what are you and Blaine fighting about when you fight?" He asked and bit his lips. "And why are you so upset about Christopher being there? At least it sounds like that and I don't know why."
Kurt glanced over when Jon grabbed his hand and he immediately squeezed his brother's fingers, grateful for the contact. He shrugged at Jon's question, "I don't even know anymore...no matter what we do. He's..really stressed out lately. A lot of things are going on with him and I try to not make it worse..." he let out a breath and shook his head, "I hate fighting with him, Jonny...I hate that he's hurting and I can't make it better.." he swallowed thickly and kept his gaze down, "They keep saying they're just joking around but...ever since last week when I caught them...I think Christopher is just..trying to steal Blaine away from me or something."
Jonathan took a deep breath when he heard Kurt talking like this. "Okay, first of all: Christopher can't take Blaine from you. You two are claimed. So if Blaine doesn't want problems with the headmaster Christopher can't take him away from you. And since when are you so unconfident? Blaine loves you, Kurt. And I am sure he still loves you. Even if he has something going on with Christopher - which I know nothing about but could be - you two are like fire and water. It's not like he would push you away because of that, it would be an add on." Jon bit his lips when he thought about the fact that Alex always said that Jon was allowed to have someone else next to him as long as he would talk to him about it.
Kurt stayed quiet as he listened to his brother and he shrugged again, "I don't know when I became like this...I used to be so independent..but..then I found out how it felt to have someone, how it felt to have someone who loved me and wanted to take care of me and..it felt so good..it felt like everything that was wrong in my life was finally getting better. As a sub....finding someone who wants you and who claims you...god, there's no better feeling, Jon. I love waking up every morning and seeing Blaine's collar around my neck...knowing that I'm his and he's mine..and I always thought I was enough for him. He's more than my Dom...he's my boyfriend. Hell, i've thought about marrying him in the future...and now I don't even know if he still feels the same about me. Everything went so bad so fast that it's making my head spin...he barely even kisses me anymore. The other night we...we started kissing...a lot. And i thought maybe it would...progress into more--" he blushed as he said it, keeping his eyes firmly on his lap, "But then the second Christopher made a post and Blaine saw it, he stopped immediately and just...I don't know." he sighed, closing his eyes.
Jonathan listened to Kurt. "You know, it's true that you love being claimed as a sub thanks to the safety and everything you get with it. But you can still be confident and such. And...you will still have his collar even if Christopher comes as an add on, Kurt." He sighed and tried to find words for it. "The highest thing Blaine can be for you is a Dominant, not boyfriend. Boyfriend is a nice side effect but the dominant part is that part that counts." He bit his lips and played with Kurt's fingers. "Blaine cares about Christopher. I saw that already and I wanted to talk to him about it but didn't have the time yet. And maybe you should just get over your jealousy and don't see Christopher as an enemy. He's your brother, Kurt. He doesn't want you unhappy, but he wants to be happy too." He took a deep breath. "What would you tell me to do when someone came along and I was falling for that person, in a different way than for Alex. What would you tell me to do?"
Kurt pursed his lips, still looking down as he thought, "I know him being my Dom is the most important part...I've tried being there for him as much as I can be lately...Even last night I tried to defuse things when he started fighting because I don't want to cause him anymore stress. I just want him to be okay again." He looked down at their fingers and sighed, "Can't he be happy with someone else? Not my Dom? He says it's because he can actually talk to Blaine but..he doesn't try to talk to anyone else. The only other Dom he talks to is you. He knows how much this would hurt me...and it seems like he doesn't care. ..it makes me sound like an ass, but I actually just..want him to go back to his room already. If he's not around all the time, I can focus on getting Blaine better and fixing our relationship without a third wheel." At Jon's last question he looked over at him, "Would you, though? Ever since I got here, you and Alex have been inseparable...could you see yourself wanting someone else? Or is Alex enough for you?"
Jonathan listened to Kurt and felt a little bad for what he would tell him now. "I know this will hurt you and maybe you'll hate me, but Blaine has every right to get a second sub and if he wants and is good enough even a third. And with your behaviour right now and your fighting against it you're making it worse for yourself only, Kurt." He sighed. "You can't get Christopher to talk to someone else if he's sure he found what he was looking for. I mean I don't even know what's up between them, but if Blaine is the one he wants, then that's it. You should be happy for your brother. And how you talk about him right now doesn't make me happy. Don't be jealous...there is no reason to be." When Kurt asked him if he would add another person, he bit his lips. "Sure, if there is someone I think is worth my time I maybe would add a third person to my suite. I don't see myself wanting someone else right now, but if there's someone who will make me fall for him in another way than Alex did, then yes. I would add someone else to our suite. I would talk to Alex and let him know but in the end he had no right to speak against it. And same goes for you. You are just making it harder for yourself. Blaine can do whatever he wants to do and if you push him away like that with your jealousy then it will only end bad for you."
Kurt sighed again and moved to lay his head back against the couch, "I know he has every right to...that doesn't mean I expected him to. I mean...look at Jude and Elliot- they've had their problems, but it's still just them two. Or now how the Headmaster only has his brother, even though he could have as many subs as he wants. I just...never thought I'd be in this situation. I never thought Blaine would want another sub...especially not when it's my own brother. I know that's not how this world works...I know that since I'm the sub I don't get a choice but..I thought Blaine would at least take into consideration the fact that I wouldn't feel comfortable with all this.." He listened as Jon spoke about maybe one day getting a second claim and he let out another breath, looking over at him, "That's the thing, though...Blaine isn't talking to me. Not about substantial things like that anyways. I feel like he's...sneaking behind my back or something. He keeps saying he can barely handle one sub..but I don't see why. I messed up once. And he says we're past it and he's forgiven me. And since then I've tried so hard to be better. I want to show him he didn't make a mistake in claiming me..that he can handle me. And if he does want another sub...I just want him to talk to me about it...not leave me in the dark, second guessing everything I do."
Jonathan leaned back on the couch as well. "Yes, there are people who are only two, but I am sure the headmaster would add a second if there would be someone he was interested in. Same goes for Jude and Elliott, but I have to say Jude has his hands full with a sub like Elliott, I don't think a second sub would be good." He shrugged. "You need to get comfortable with it, as hard as it sounds. Talk to him, ask him what he wants and then get comfortable with it. Work on that. Ask him for rules. You want to make him happy, right? At least Alex always tells me that making me happy is his first priority. If you want to make him happy, don't be jealous and try to help him with maybe adding a third person. That's what would make him happy. You fighting against it and hiding or being jealous won't make him happy, it will stress him and in the end it will only get you into trouble."
Kurt hesitated for a moment before he moved, shifting across the couch to rest his head on Jon's shoulder, "I just always had this perfect, romantic ideal image of me and my Dom being the only ones we'd need...that we'd be Dom and sub, yes, but we'd be more than that...like I said, we even talked about marriage in the past.." he mumbled, now realizing how...naive that made him. At Jon's question, he nodded, "I want Blaine's happiness more than my own...it kills me to see that he's hurting and I can't make it stop...I've told him I'm okay with rules and even punishments..but he hasn't taken the initiative and done either yet. I....I need those things, ya know? I know I've always been independent but..something inside of me just...craves it. I want to do right by him..I don't want him to regret me or doubt us anymore...I just want us to be happy again."
Jonathan smiled softly when Kurt leaned against him and wrapped one arm around him. "If you want his happiness more than your own then stop being so jealous and don't see Christopher or anyone as your enemy. See them as something your relationship can grow with. And even if he adds Christopher to your suite that doesn't mean he doesn't want you anymore. It just means he has the feeling he has more to give. And sit down with him and talk about it. Talk about rules, about things he wants you to do. Just stop being such a jealous boy. Be yourself again. I never saw you so unconfident before. If he wants to spend time with Christopher? Fine, then do something for yourself. Read a book, visit me or find some other hobbies."
Kurt leaned into him more, glad for his brother's comfort. He stayed quiet as he listened to him before he nodded, "I know..I guess I just...I've been feeling like I've been being replaced or something..I even talked to Sebastian about it last night. I guess I need to get out of my own head....I just want Blaine to be happy..and I want to continue being with him..no matter what. And I'll try to talk to him later...I really do think we need to talk." He paused as he listened to the second bit and he nodded again, "I'm getting back into my sketches and designing again...I haven't really made anything since before Christmas... I even have two Dommes willing to pay me to make them dresses.."
Jonathan bit his lips. "You are not being replaced. And that's all you need to learn. You can't be replaced. It's like with me and Alex. Just because I've got Alex now doesn't mean you're replaced in my life. I still love you a lot. And the same goes for Blaine. He cares about you. I am sure he doesn't want to replace you." He stroke over Kurt's head and smiled. "See, you can see it as a good thing that Blaine gives you more time for yourself."
Kurt sighed softly before he nodded, "it's gonna take some time for me to not see it like that...but I guess you're right. Like I said..I really just want us to be okay. I love Blaine so much...I'll do anything to make this work...even if that means having to share him." He smiled just a tiny bit as Jon carded his fingers through his hair and let out a breath, "I just want everything to be okay in the end."
Jonathan kissed Kurts forehead. "If you want it to be okay then trust Blaine that he'll make it okay. Your job is it to make him happy and his job is it to make things work. Just trust him and don't let your feelings get between that. It can hurt, yes. But the pain will go away. Just concentrate on being a good submissive."
Kurt leaned more into him and he nodded, "I know...okay. I do want to be good...i want to be so much better so he sees he didn't make a mistake in claiming me and that..this can work. We can work." He sighed softly and threw an arm around Jon's stomach, "Thank you, Jonny....for everything."
Jonathan smiled. "No problem, Kurt. Just...try to follow my advice and I am sure it'll get better. And I am always here, okay?"
Kurt nodded again, "I know..you've always been there for me." he smiled back a little, letting out another breath before finally allowing himself to relax, content to sit there with his brother until it was time to go back to class.
Phil opened all of the cupboards, searching for the ingredients required to make the cupcakes that Dan wanted. He knew they had all of the ingredients, but he had them in different parts of the kitchen. He placed everything he found on the side, letting his mind wander as no-one was around for him to read their minds and Dan had his mental block. He hummed to himself while he looked, crawling around the floor to get in the cupboards under the counter for the flour.
WHAT: Gabriela comes over in some hopes of giving Casey some actual food and a mood boost.
Gabriela Dawson
After her conversation with long time friend (and almost boyfriend) Matthew Casey, Gabriela Dawson pushed a loose strand of her hair from her face and smelled her shirt, making a face. She hadn't showered recently, mostly because she had been studying for a test and trying to finish her paper. A part of her knew she should stay in her apartment and try to finish this paper, but it was Casey.
Gabriela stood from her couch and walked back to her bathroom, jumping in the shower. Even though this was the furthest thing from a date, she didn't want to go over smelling like a trashcan. She knew that Casey was having a hard time from Hallie's murder - how could he not they were just beginning to get their relationship back.
After exiting her shower, Gabriela walked into her bedroom to change into loose jeans and a t-shirt. She had no idea what she would cook for Casey, hell she wasn't exactly sure what was in his kitchen, so she grabbed a few grocery bags and filled them up with her own food. Gabriela walked out of her apartment and walked down to her car, setting the bags in her backseat before climbing in and beginning to drive to Casey's.
Since her break up with Peter Mills (and his failed attempt to run away from her by attempting to join the police force), she hadn't really sat down and just talked to Casey since the funeral and visiting him once or twice. To be honest, she hadn't really spoken with anyone but Leslie Shay. There was an unspoken awkwardness between the whole squad after the break up with Mills. Only time would be able to tell if that would ever go away.
Once she arrived at Casey's house, Gabriela parked her car next to the sidewalk in front of his house and left her car. Upon walking up the sidewalk and the front steps, she rose her hand up and knocked on Casey's door.
Jeff sat in his dorm room, contemplating whether or not he should turn off his laptop now or wait until Devon arrived. He decided to shut it down now before the other boy arrived, and just as he set the now sleeping computer on his bedside table he heard a knock on the door. "Just a minute." he called to the waiting visitor. Jeff checked himself in the mirror quickly, making sure he didn't look like a hobo, then walked to the door and opened it with a smile.
The last month of so of Chris' life was by far one of the best he had had in years. Granted, they were still in an adjustment period with everything--Luke still slipped up sometimes and called Darren Mr. Darren instead of daddy, and Chris was still having a difficult time giving up total control and sharing in the parenting with Darren--but still, Luke had his other father now and Chris had Darren and so overall, it was all still pretty fantastic. They even had a routine now where Darren would take Luke to work at least once a week, saving Chris money on sending him to daycare or having to bribe Ashley to watch him. They'd almost always have dinner together (unless Darren was filming late) and it had gotten to the point that Darren's own apartment was basically becoming a place for him to store his crap since he was only ever there long enough to grab clothes or other essentials. Chris knew that Darren's place was bigger, and could easily accommodate three people, but Chris' place was more of a home than Darren's ever could be and honestly, he was just waiting for the day that he gathered the courage to just cave and ask Darren to officially move in.
In fact, that was what he was thinking about when his phone rang. He glanced at the screen and he frowned when he saw the name of Luke's daycare pop up on the screen. He knew Luke wasn't feeling all that well this morning, but he didn't have a fever and Chris didn't have much of a choice but to send him since both he and Darren needed to go to work and Ashley couldn't watch him for the day. He dropped the script he was attempting to read and picked up his phone, tapping the answer button, "Hello?" "Mr. Colfer? Hi, I'm from McKinley Daycare, I'm calling about your son, Lucas." The woman's voice on the other end sounded monotoned, and honestly, it made Chris' heart skip a beat, "What about him? Is everything okay?" "I'm afraid there was an accident. While the children were out for playtime it seems that Lucas fainted and hit his head against the corner of one of the tables we have set up outside." That time Chris' heart really did skip a bit and then started racing in his chest, his breaths coming out a bit sharper, "B-But, he's okay, right? He just bumped his head?" Chris asked quickly, his voice raising a bit. When the woman on the other end didn't answer immediately Chris' worry flew into overdrive, "What happened to my son?" "Mr. Colfer...after hitting his head, Lucas completely collapsed onto the concrete. When he didn't wake up right away we called an ambulance. Your son is on the way to the hospital."
Chris couldn't breathe. He felt like the room was spinning and his free hand grasped the corner of the desk to keep from tipping over. Ambulance. Hospital. His son was unconscious and on the way to the hospital. He hadn't even realized he was moving until he was already standing and grabbing his wallet and car keys. He also didn't realize he was still clutching the phone to his ear until he heard the woman calling out his name over and over, "I'm heading there now...th-thank you." he managed to breathe out and with shaky fingers he jabbed the end call button. He was glad no one stopped him on his way out of the office building and instead of waiting for the elevator he went to the stairwell, practically flying down the six flights of stairs to the carpark. He was sitting in his car when he finally broke down a bit, letting out a strangled sob and staring down at his hands, willing them to stop shaking. Luke was all he had, he didn't know what he'd do if he lost him or what--shit. Darren.
Chris scrambled for his phone and whined desperately when he couldn't get his contact to come up quick enough. But soon enough he was calling him and he jammed the phone to his ear muttering to himself for Darren to answer. When it went straight to voicemail Chris cried out in frustration and hit the end call button. Darren, please pick up. It's important. he texted to him before finally starting the car and peeling out of the lot. He was stuck in massive traffic on the way to the hospital, all the while calling Darren four more times and sending him six more text messages, all more urgent than the last. He knew Darren was working, but surely he'd be checking his phone every now and then, right?
The longer it took for him to get there the more panicked he became and frustrated tears began spilling down his face. He was absolutely terrified and the hospital couldn't tell him anything over the phone since they had no proof of him being Luke's parent. It took him almost a half hour to get there but he was soon pulling into the hospital and parking in the emergency section, not even caring if he got towed as he ran out of the car and into the hospital. He ran right up to the front desk, not caring about how he looked, panicked and tear-stained, "L-Lucas Colfer? He was admitted for...I uh, he hit his head and passed out...he's my son." Chris gasped out. The woman at the desk looked at him as if he were insane before slowly typing into her computer and nodding, filling out a small visitor's badge for him, "sixth floor." Chris didn't wait for anything else and he bolted, heading to the elevator and jamming the six.
He looked around frantically before spotting a nurses station and quickly heading towards it, "Hi um, my son? He's somewhere on this floor a-and..Lucas Colfer. He's only four..." one of the nurses held her hand up to stop his ramblings, but she looked kind. She stood up and rounded the desk, nodding, "Your son was admitted not too long ago, but you can't see him right now--" Chris tried to protest but again she raised a hand, "Mr. Colfer, please have a seat in the waiting room and I promise someone will be there to speak with you as soon as you can, alright?" Chris looked up at the woman with tears in his eyes but he knew he could do nothing so he turned and went towards the direction she pointed him to.
Once there Chris tried calling Darren again, almost throwing the phone across the room when it to voicemail again. He couldn't make himself sit down in one of the ugly green chairs and he couldn't make himself stay still long enough to make a crappy cup of coffee. He just...he needed Darren right now and he wasn't answering his damn phone and Chris was on the verge of a full fledged breakdown. And that's when it hit him. He thumbed quickly through his contacts until he hit 'Dianna A' and he his call without even thinking about it, knowing she was his last shot.
"Hello?" "Dianna?" "Chris? Hey! Why're you calling--" Chris cut her off right away, "Dianna, please is Darren anywhere around? Please, I need to talk to him right now." Dianna was quiet for a second before she answered, "I think he's just going over his lines or something, we're not set to film for another twenty minutes...I can go find him for you? Why didn't you just call him?" "I tried," Chris responded, hiccuping on a sob and he pinched the bridge of his nose. "He's not answering his phone." Dianna must have heard the desperation in his voice because he heard rustling and assumed she was on the move, searching out Darren. "Okay. Chris, sweetie. Calm down. I'll go find Dare and have him call you back as soon as he gets his phone okay?" Chris dumbly nodded before murmuring a soft agreement and letting the call end, finally giving in and sitting in one of the uncomfortable chairs with his head in his hands, waiting for the phone to ring or a doctor to come in.
