Alex wasn’t aware of just how much time she spent doing homework at school or in the library until she actually had a wifi-enabled, functioning laptop of her own. She’d still have to print any schoolwork on campus, but still. She actually had time to herself now. She was still adjusting to living at the Tower but the time actually gave her an opportunity to make the place her own, to go out and get things to decorate--something she never really was able to do before. But today was a lazy day, a day she’d dedicated to finishing a paper, and now that it was done, she could relax. 

The thought of inviting Jim out for a cup of coffee had been one that’d been in the back of her mind for a few days now, ever since she got home and the laptop was waiting for her. She still felt indebted to him no matter what he said and honestly..she kind of just wanted to see him again. She’d never met anyone who could relate to her past the way he could, someone she could feel comfortable around to talk about just how hard things had been but now that he’d said yes, she was admittedly a bit nervous. She hadn’t seen him since she’d given him her laptop, but now he knew exactly what was on it, had seen private glimpses into her life, photos and videos of times when they were in shelters and had makeshift Christmas celebrations with what little they had, times when her mom was in the hospital or smiling tiredly in her bed at home. She knew he wouldn’t judge her but it still made her a bit nervous. Banter over texts was one thing- it was easier for her to be more relaxed and let her walls down, to be more herself when she wasn’t face-to-face with someone- but she just..didn’t want him to look at her differently.

Still she got ready soon after he’d agreed, swapping out pajamas pants for jeans and boots and putting on a nice sweater, even picking her hair up to keep it out of her face for once and then she was off, smiling politely at the security in the lobby of the Tower and those outside of it as she walked the few blocks to the cafe.

Cousin Bonding | Allison and Aric [therealargentwolf]

Since the passing of her grandfather Gerard, and the loss of her aunt Kate, Allison had wondered at the rest of her family. She knew that there were still Argents in France, and likely elsewhere, but her father rarely talked about any other siblings or any cousins of his own when Allison was growing up, so she just didn't know.

She'd started looking into her family tree before everything with the Nemeton happened, before one of her best friends became the host of a chaotic fox spirit, before she'd nearly died. Surviving an oni sword to the chest had been a surprise to everyone, but Allison was a fighter and she wasn't going to leave her friends to die or leave her father on his own. So she'd pulled through with a nice scar and a story and an even greater desire to protect those who couldn't protect themselves.

Her father went into major 'mother hen' mode, overprotective to the extreme, and Allison was forced to stay in the house and complete her school work from home. It left her with a lot of time and uninterrupted internet access, so she finally returned to the project she'd started before everything went to hell.

The Argent family records were a bit of a mess in places, but that combined with Facebook got her a few possible matches to cousins and distant relatives she never knew she had. The likely candidate for the day had a Facebook account and a fun picture. He looked like he was around her age, and the person listed as his mother on the account was in the family records. Hopefully it was the same person.

I've stumbled on your facebook account [obviously, since I'm messaging you here] and I was wondering if you'd be willing to talk to me and help me find out if we might actually be related? Hopeful for another relative, Allison

Code Blue | Open

The day was going slow and Axel really wanted a neuro case to jump onto, but unfortunately she was stuck doing mediocre observations on patients due to be discharged within the day. She entered Mr.Nelson’s room, a 58 year old patient who’d been admitted for seizures concurrent with a brain tumor removal that'd left scar tissue. “Hi Mr.Nelson, how’re you doing?” The man stopped flicking through his morning paper to look up at the blonde. “I told you silly people, call me Jack or call me nothin'.” He had a heavy New Yorker accent, which gave Axel a smile every time they talked. Within moments of their usual conversation - talking about what sport team won on the weekend and when Axel was planning on going back to visit her parents - the patient began to seize. Axel dropped the obs chart she was holding and immediately pressed the code blue button.

Christmas Break 2012 || Axel and Avery

"Dad, do I have to go?" Axel said, groaning slightly as he sorted his tie out as their family walked up the path to the Lupton house. "Axel, this is a family event. So yes, you do." His dad said in reply, shooting him a stern look. "I didn't realise the people you want to see were family." He'd mutter in response. "Avery will be there." His mother said, plainly. As soon as that sentence comprehended to Axel, he felt a lot happier about going. Truthfully, Axel hated going to dinner parties with his family, because they all ended up drinking and gossiping about other families as well as muggle families and Axel was bored of it. The only reason he went to them all the time was to see Avery, who had been his friend since they were little. "You're a Dalsgaard, Axel. You need to show interest in these things." His father declared, looking back at his son and glaring at him once more. Axel swallowed sharply as TJ and Reed caught up behind him. "Yeah Axel, you need to show interest." TJ mimicked, a little giggle escaping his mouth. The curly haired boy looked to his left to see his twin brother Reed smirking. "Boys, you two need to as well, so I don't see what you're laughing and joking about." He added. Axel looked down at the floor as he walked and grinned as the two other boys groaned.

When the Dalsgaard family had been in the Lupton household for a few seconds, they were all instantly greeted by the other families there. Axel smiled at them as a form of greeting then when all the families resided in the living room, Axel remained where he was, stood by the door. He sighed and looked around, not moving from the spot he was stood in. The curly haired boy didn't have any intention of being part of their conversations as they were a bore to him and he couldn't put up with one more conversation about Deatheaters, Muggles, Purebloods or the Ministry. He just wanted to walk out the door and go home and he wouldn't care to admit it. His thoughts were disturbed by a familiar voice. "Axel Nathan Dalsgaard get in here now and join the conversation." He heard his father call from in the living room. With a quiet sight, Axel went to go into the living room until he saw someone behind him in the reflection of the large vintage mirror infront of him.

Coffee breaks.. || Kittana

Una vez dentro del local , Santana se ubico en una de las mesas más cercanas a la puerta principal que pudo.No tardo mas de cinco minutos en llegar a Lima Bean después de que envió el mensaje a Kitty, ya que no quedaba tan lejos de lugar en el que se encontraba. Fue una de las cosas que siempre le gustó de la ubicación de la casa de sus padres. La camarera se acerca a los pocos segundos con una sonrisa tonta pegada en su cara y un papel en manos, lista para anotar la orden.

" Un café de mocha y voy a llamarte en cualquier momento porque mi acompañante esta en camino. Mantente alerta" 

La mujer se marcha con un pequeño meneo de cabeza luego de garabatear en su bloc y aprovechando el que se encontraba completamente sola Santana cruza las piernas y comienza a  hurgar en su celular por si Kitty cancelaba la propuesta. Era la primera vez que iba a verla después de lo que pasó en ese baño en Scandals , y aunque tenía razones suficientes para estar avergonzada, Santana no lo estaba. Se encontraba tranquila. En verdad tenía ganas de hablar o compartir un momento con ella.
