cool drink of water, such a sweet surprise.
It had been a long while since Kurt had been nervous to go on for a main stage performance. After his first official “debut”, it seemed all too simple. He just had to twirl a few times around the pole, often making up dance steps as he went, and he’d get a lot of praise. Honestly, men were much too easy to please.
But this time, he was nervous. Kurt had never wore anything like this in his life. Sure, he had thought about buying some lace before just to give it a try, but he never actually went through with it. And he certainly never danced around in it. But his manager wanted him to try it, and he got some special kind actually made for men, so he felt a bit better about that.
It was also just good to know Noah would be in the audience. Not only was that good financially, but it was good just to have a friendly face in the audience. Time with Noah had been some of his favorite lately, even if part of him was scared he’d fool himself into thinking it was a real thing and not just a way for two lonely people to feel less alone.
After warming up and stretching as best as he could, Kurt got into his outfit at work. There was a big changing room in the back that they all shared, complete with a few shower stalls they used to attempt to get rid of the glitter. Kurt took his time putting on the lacy underwear he had been given, then he stepped into a pair of tight, white tearaway pants. Once that was done, he started putting on the glitter lotion and his makeup as the crowd started to build outside.
Finally, he was on deck. Kurt bit his lip and followed the stage manager to the wing of the stage. Then he heard the cheesy announcement of his name and stepped onto the stage as “Cherry Pie” started to play.
His dance was much less involved as his first one, partly because he wanted to make sure the underwear worked before he did anything too over the top. He started by strutting onto stage to the opening beat and then going directly to the pole, doing some body rolls and a couple of spins around it as the opening chorus played. He made extra sure to lick his thumb and run it down his abs as the music said, “tastes so good makes a grown man cry.”
Kurt swung around the pole as the verse started, soon turning himself upside down on the pole and getting some cheers for that. He pushed off slightly to land on his hands and cartwheel back up to his feet (okay, he’d been trying that one a lot, too). Then, as it went to the bridge and the song crooned, “I scream, you scream,” Kurt tore off his pants and threw them behind him to get the crowd screaming. It was only then that he realized a lacy, red thong during the song “Cherry Pie” was almost too much for this place, but seeing how sexual the video was, it was warranted.
He took in the whistles and whoops and, as the chorus started up again, he got down on his knees and crawled around for some tips in the crowd. He took his time with the customers, letting them slip dollars in themselves and running his hands through some people’s hair and throwing winks all along the way.
Kurt popped back up to his feet and rocked his hips as the next verse started. And, really, the rest of the song was pretty simple. He did a few more twirls on the pole, and even did the whole licking it up thing (of course he didn’t actually lick it, but kept his tongue as close as possible without letting it touch it at all, though Kurt knew they were cleaned every night very thoroughly). Eventually he found Noah on the last chorus and took a lot of time getting tips from him, making sure to give him some good ass shaking, but nothing too big happened and, more importantly, nothing fell out, either. Once he knew that, he’d be able to add more choreography like before.
The song moved on to another piece Kurt didn’t know, but it had a nice beat, and he walked around much more casually to get some tips when it happened. Kurt had just walked past Noah when one guy reached out and grabbed his ass.
Kurt immediately turned to him with daggers in his eyes. Maybe that wasn’t how he was supposed to act, but how else was he expected to act when someone assaulted him like that? Kurt moved the man’s hand away before continuing on his way, trying to put the action out of his mind.
