I’VE BEEN THINKING → DANTANA
From the second you confess your feelings to the person you love, the world is a better place. The sun seemed to shine brighter, the birds sang louder, random people on the subway wasn’t as annoying or strange, and nothing could put a downer on your mood. Surprisingly enough, Santana had gone without verbally attacking Rachel or Kurt for a week – a record for the books. Sure, her roommates had been rather suspicious as to why she’d lost her usual temper, or more like where she’d hidden it, but Santana didn’t care to tell them just yet. For now this was between Dani and her, their own thing, their own world, and no one was to disturb them.
It hadn’t been unusual for them to spend several nights in each other’s company before, but after those three little words with their great meaning had been spoken, they’d basically been attached by the hip. Much to Kurt and Rachel’s dismay. They adored Dani; they always had, though it didn’t stop them from complaining about the noise. Luckily, Rachel was at work for the night and Kurt had some fashion emergency, resulting in the two of them to be left to themselves in the loft. It hadn’t taken long for clothes to fly everywhere, for bodies to melt together, and for names to be moaned by dry lips.
The moments that followed were even more magical. Santana would never say it out loud, but to be in her bed with her favorite person in the entire world, talking, laughing, and sharing memories and secrets – that was where she felt the most at home. Her hand was running through Dani’s hair, her girlfriend’s head resting against her chest while they spoke quietly. “You do realize that we have to get up eventually, right? We still haven’t had dinner.” She chuckled, faintly feeling the hunger begin. They could eat when they got old. “What you wanna do this weekend? You got any late shifts?”
