SUMMARY → Cash and Margo go out on their second date! We didn’t write the first one because Cash practiced it on Alicia but spoiler alert, Margo loved it!
In Auradon, it was a truth universally acknowledged that Margo Vasilovich loved love and romance. She’d had crushes a plenty throughout the years, anytime someone did something even remotely romantic for her -- she’d even had a crush on a boy for spelling her name right once! There had only been a couple of boys that really stood far and above the rest, though -- Hadie, obviously, and now Cash Forrester.
Margo had thought he was adorable anyway, in a completely unassuming way. She probably would have fallen for him just from a flattering comment here and a kind gesture there, but he’d done so much more than that when he’d wanted to take her out on a rom-com date. How completely romantic and thoughtful that was had stuck with her, and started to make her think maybe, just maybe, she could move on from her past relationship just as easily as Hadie was. If every date with Cash was even half as nice as her first date with Cash had been, she’d be saying Hadie who in no time.
So far, today’s second date was at least half as great as the first had been. Cash had given her a quick kiss hello when he’d picked her up, and she’d found herself chattering easily at him as they’d headed to Build-A-Bear. Once they’d gotten here, though, Margo had gone all business mode, trying to hide the top-secret bear she was making for him. She wanted it to be a big surprise when they traded final products at the end, so she’d hovered over the Branch doll she’d been making for Cash, hiding it from his view while he worked on whatever he had ready for her.
Now all that was left was to put an outfit on Branch -- and while Margo had initially grabbed Branch’s usual costume, knowing how much Cash loved all the Trolls just the way they were... she changed her mind right at the last second, grabbing a Princess Poppy rainbow shirt instead. Cash and Branch were both Poppy fanboys, after all; she thought it might make it more special, and make it feel less like she’d just gone and gotten him something premade when he looked back at this later. Margo turned her back towards her date one last time as she shimmied the stuffed animal into the outfit, then turned towards him with the troll hidden safely behind her back. “Ready when you are!” Margo said proudly, beaming at her date. She couldn’t wait to see his reaction to her gift!
